Title: Cool onboard view of shuttle launch
Post by: davekill on August 29, 2008, 07:16:01 PM
The Shuttle can spend weeks in orbit, I wonder if it could make the trip and orbit around the  moon?
While it's being outfitted with more fuel capacity for a lunar insertion orbit - load a lander in the cargo bay
Bet it would be a more comfortable trip than the Apollo crews had.

That was really cool. I hope someday they do like an Imax thing with that.  I would love to see that.

Blows my mind.... If we actually make it another 200 more years, this is going to look so backwards and ancient to future generations. But this is a great video!

I agree.  And we'll make it. ;)

Awesome video, davekill.  Thanks for putting it up!

That was killer!  Technology is a wonderful thing!  I think the people here on the board (myself included) are the only ones who watch the NASA channel.  I love turning it on at night and just watching

Wow. That was the best shuttle launch video I have seen. Most of the others tend to swap between cameras and watching it from this view gave you a true appreciation of just how fast this thing travels. And I just love seeing images of the Earth from space. Great video.  :metallica:
