Here are some BluRay and DVD release dates my friend Bill Hunt at the Digital Bits is reporting, in his "Rumor Mill":
11/11 - Star Wars: Clone Wars
12/2 - Get Smart
12/9 - The Dark Knight
From Bill: "Word is, there will be FOUR different versions of The Dark Knight, including single-disc and 2-disc DVDs, a 3-disc Blu-ray and some kind of Blu-ray limited edition packaged with cool swag.
"Also, retail sources are reporting to us today that 11/18 is the street date for Universal's Hellboy II on DVD and Blu (we've posted the cover art previously here).
"We'll post all the final details as they come in. As always, keep in mind that these titles and dates ARE unofficial and are subject to change until they're actually officially announced by the studios in press releases and retail solicitations.... yadda yadda yadda. You get the idea."

I'm jazzed for ALL of these, and I'm guessing many of you are too! (except maybe Get Smart. It was "okay".)
Oh man that sucks. Is this the start then of Blue Ray getting better editions than the standard DVD (eg Dark Knight)

I hope not. DVD still has a much larger market penetration. I love BluRay, but the discs are ridiculously expensive, and DVDs still look great.
Yeah i will end up with a Blue Ray player sooner or later but i still hope that the market will not aim for just one format.
I can't use Bluerays so this choice is rather easy....
