Yesterday, for my friend's Bachelor's Party, a bunch of us drove out to Six Flags New England in Agawam, MA.
It was a great day, a little overcast, but the rain held off until we were getting ready to leave.
The water park was nice, especially when it got muggy during the afternoon.
There were a few GREAT coasters there. The Batman ride (pictured below) was awfully fun. For one of our three trips on it, we were able to sit in the front car, and it was unbelievably thrilling.
The Superman: Ride of Steel coaster is the best coaster I've ever been on. It is annually voted the best steel coaster in the world by people who decide those things. At a max speed of 77mph, you do feel the sensation of flying at high speeds.
With the DC branding, there were cool comic-related elements throughout the park. I even got my picture taken with the Boy Wonder, my favorite superhero since I was a little kid watching Burt Ward and running around the house with a yellow towel for a cape.
Sounds like a great time... I love Six Flags.. we have one out here in CA called Magic Mountain.. it also has a very cool Batman roller coaster, Riddler stand up coaster and a Superman The Escape ride though ours is not a roller coaster per se instead it shoots you straight up 415 feet then you fall backwards. It's a pretty cool ride. They entire section is made to look like Gothlum City.. it's really cool.
cool stuff Dan, looks like a lot of fun, and a great way to spend time for a Bachelor party
I did not know that there where Six Flags in New England
I've never been much in to being turned upside down at immense speeds... ooooo! :ohmy
But I love some other rides. Just as long as they don't flip me upside down.
Good to hear you didn't get decapitated.
