Just saw a preview for this today - Smeagle is playing another baddie.

Brendan Fraser is almost as busy as Samuel L Jackson - but then again maybe Jackson will be in this movie :D

Looks cool.  Not due out until Jan. 9, 2009 though.

Just started reading this book.  My 11 year old daughter is totally into this series - so I am reading based on her recommendation.  :)  She is a Harry Potter nut already.  I recently got her to read The Hobbit, and she is starting the Lord of the Rings.

Sounds like my 11 (soon to be 12) year old. (Harry Potter and Artemis Fowl at the minute but not Inkheart. Maybe I need to point her at it?)

I gave her The Hobbit to read before the film comes out but I'm not sure she's started into it yet. Hmmm, I need to check on that...

My daughter just finished the Hobbit.  She liked it - but she didn't get the bang that I did as a youngin'.  I think that is something that has to be read by younger people before they read the newer more modern stuff.  Harry Potter & Artemis Fowl have more appeal & sizzle (I feel) to the younger generations.
