This podcast should generate some comments. A long time ago, in a basement far, far away, an audio show was created about the crew of the Starship Aurora! This was before .mp3 files, PC's, CD's, or any Next Gen Trek show! A group of friends and myself created our own Trek adventures with the help of my trusty cassette recorder. The audio quality of these is not great but we had a blast doing them. My podcast this week replay's our first adventure for the whole big Internet to hear. Oh god, what have I done?! ;)
I thought it was cute, especially the use of sound cues recorded from television.

I listened to treksf episode 1 just for fun, and I thought it was fun to go back and listen to it. It's amazing how much the audio quality has improved from the first episode.
This show was great. Rico, your show was pretty well done for the time period. It would be cool if I could write an TOS script and the forum people can act it out over skype. Then Rico could mix it and do a podcast with it. Its only a dream tho and it would take work.

I'm impressed that you guys were able to record the sound effects from the television, and play them back at the right time for your audio show. How did you organize the sound effects so that you could find them quickly to play them for your recorded script? You did a great job of editing out the sounds the recorder makes when you press the buttons down for recording.Â
My younger siblings and I used to make audio shows, and it seemed the button sounds were always there no matter how careful we were to press them, or rewind to record over them. Our audio shows were NO WHERE NEAR as creative as yours (we would often pretend we were Disk jockeys). We'd play music and record fake commercials between our radio show. They were fun to make but horribly boring to listen to. :ohwell
Honestly, I listened to this again, and you guys should goo to hollywood and request some sort of deal, it's AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
