Well, this is very odd. I get online in one of the computer labs and I recieve an email from Gateway stating that my laptop has left their facilities today. This comes one day after recieving an email stating that they had recieved my laptop.
Sadly, something tells me they didn't fix any of my problems or they just wiped the hard-drive and called it good. We will see if they included a report about any fixes, but it looks like I went through quite a bit of grief for nothing. /sigh But who knows, they could be incredibly fast repair-techs.....(not likely).
Oh well, guess I'll manage somehow. One silver lining is that I'll have my computer back soon.

I wouldn't be shocked if they just cleaned the drive and reinstalled Windows - like I think many had suggested. That normally will fix most computer issues.

<.< You know what? That would be far too ironic.
*Note to self, never send anything via DHL* *Note note to self, just fix it yourself*

CHEER IN THE STREETS, MY LAPTOP IS BACK TO ME WOOT!
On a more silent note, Gateway had found that my cooling system was "in error" and replaced it as well as some damaged components. Although my original notion that it might be more severely damaged didn't come out, it seems to have been worth it to send it in.
