Well not really, but it's always nice to have a different topic headline.
A few details about myself, eh? I'm 18 years old and I'm from Scotland. I like the Star Trek+Wars, Spider-Man, gaming and writing. I'm studying Professional Writing at my college and I currently work in a store called Tesco.
I also think this is a cool icon: :starwars:
Welcome to the forums Garfunkle... you should check out the rpg section since you enjoy writing.
Yeah, I've been thinking about it since I heard the Ready Room podcasts by yourself and Jen. I'd defiantly be a Vulcan. I love the whole logic aspect of their characters.
We only have one full Vulcan and another half Vulcan.. we can always use another one. :)
Nice to see you. Welcome to the fun!
Nothing wrong with the pleasure of a nice cocktail... :) Welcome!
Welcome Garfunkle. :)
Personally I like this icon better :r2d2line

I was thinking that too... but I wasn't sure he'd know who that was. That was even my time. :D
Welcome to the fun

I know who they are... ;)
And I am now an ensign!
Welcome Ensign garfunkle of the bridge over troubled waters of Scotland. Mine's a martini, no skimping of the olives my good man.
Hey Garfunkle,
Always great to meet folks with a bent sense of humor.
You'll find this to be a very IDIC-oriented (Infinite Diversity in Infinite Combinations) forum. Once upon a time, I briefly participated in the StarTrek.com forum and found the people to be very un-Treklike. I've been away from the forums for a while but have been listening to the podcast pretty faithfully. I've fallen victim to insomnia, so I decided to poke about here.
You've become part of a pretty vibrant and creative community which I bet you'll enjoy participating in.
This is a cool place to be. It should help keep you off the sauce. ;D
Welcome dude!
Welcome!
sup? Good to have you aboard.
Hi All,
I'm Chris Lopes, and I live in Colorado Springs, CO with my lovely wife Ellen and our two cats. I work in the semi-conductor industry and am a big science fiction fan. I've been listening to the treks in sci fi podcast for a couple of years now and enjoy the geeky goodness that they provide.
For those interested, vavu (my spelling of it anyway) is Portuguese slang for grandfather. It is what my grandson Isaak calls me.
Welcome Vavu... glad you could join us.
Hi Vavu, welcome to the forums. Enjoy.
Welcome to the geeky goodness!
Nice to meet you, and welcome to the forums.
cool, welcome friend!
Welcome to the forums! :)
Wilkommen!
Salut! Accueillir aux forums.
I thought it would be fun to play around with Free Translation a little bit. Anyway, glad to have you in the forums and I look forward to getting to know you a little better. :)
Actually that'd be "Bienvenue aux forums"
Accueillir is the verb 'to welcome' where as bienvenue is what you would use to welcome a person to something.
This French lesson has been brought to you by the Quebec french immersion public school system.
:)
Rats! I thought it would be "bienvenue," but I just took Free Translation's word for it. Never trust Free Translation! :P
About all I can remember from my high school French class is how to count to 10. Not exactly enough to get me into the foreign service, but it did impress the girl at the ice cream shop a few months back.
I had to get out of my French class.... I think I was scaring the instructor, that and all the D's I was getting.
I'll stick to the poor accent you silly... KNiiiiiGit!

Why don't you impress them with your superior Spanish skills, KC... I know as a fellow Texan you must have taken at least 2 years of Spanish. I've taken 7 and I'm more than rusty. The only people that I "
converse" with in Spanish are my brother and father and apparently knowing how to say things like "shut your mouth" and "do you want to fight?", isn't exactly useful in when trying to buy from a vendor in Mexico. :D
Welcome aboard! :cheers
