Just a quick little fun topic. Last movie you saw at home and in the theater.....
At home (last night) - watched "The Invasion" with Kidman and Craig. Not as bad as I had heard. Some fun moments. Remake of the Body Snatchers.
In the theater - "Jumper" was a fun movie. Cool concept. Wouldn't mind seeing a sequel.
at home would be Enchanted.. loved it, very fun, very Disney
in the theater would be The Spiderwick Chronicles... again really enjoyed it.. cool sfx, the story went by very quickly.
In Theaters: I am Legend - Loved the first half, liked the second.
At Home: The Flight of the Phoenix (Older Version) - Love those old films, Phoenix is one of my favorites.

I liked "I am Legend" too. I've seen the newer version of the Phoenix movie. I love old movies too. Going to add the older version to my Netflix queue.
In theater- Beouwolf in 3D- fun
At home- The Bridge to Terabithia- horribly depressing, not what I expected at all!
In theaters- Cloverfield
At home- Serenity. I recently re-watched the Firefly series, and i sort of have Firefly on the brain right now. Must be subliminal messages planted in the TV series! ;)
The Theater- I actually can't remember, it was either Game Plan or I am Legend. wow, haven't been in awhile...
At home- The new Justice League DVD movie.
In the theater: Shrek the Third. The school my girls go to have a winter movie series with a bunch of family style movies and this was the one showing a couple of week ago. Not as bad as I had heard but not as good as the first movie.
At home: A cheape B-Rate movie called Gabriel. A movie about angels and demons (although God is never mentioned in the movie) and battle for souls and of light vs dark in what is essentially purgatory. Not great by any stretch but I love the subject matter and the movie wasn't totally bad.
I watched a silent film called The Godless Girl (1929) today and all I can say is that it is an amazing film. The restoration is clean. In fact cleaner than any other silent I have seen. The score by Carl Davis is really quite good and the direction by Cecil B. DeMille is wonderful!
For those who do not know the story it is about a young girl who is an atheist and is trying to convert her fellow classmates to atheism. Tom Keene plays a Christian named Bob who rallies together a bunch of kids who are believers to break up the atheist meeting led by Lina Basquette playing Judy. A brawl ensues in the school and a young girl falls to her death over a broken stairway rail. The atheists have nothing to comfort the dying girl with. Bob, Judy and another kid name Bozo are captured by the police and then find themselves in a reformatory prison camp where they are cruelly treated.
The images in this film are striking and clearly show why DeMille was a great director. He really had an eye for it. If you have not seen this silent classic I would highly recommend it. I give it 4 1/2 out of 5 stars.

God I know, I sat down to watch this with my daughter and was really bummed afterward. Not the kind of movie a three and a half year old needs to be exposed to by any means. Fortunately she lost interest before it got really depressing.
Home: School Of Rock (I loved it).
Movies... hummm it's been a while. What was the last thing I saw at the movies???
I think it was the last Harry Potter film! Wow... that was a long time ago. I think Dave and I are going to see 2,000,000 BC. I'm very interested in prehistory, and I know it's a bogus story but it looks fun.
