So as some of you know.. I am a Biochemistry/ Molecular Biology major at Michigan State.. and we just had our first exam in Adv Organic Chem 2. Now the average on the test was a 41% lol.. good thing we get to drop a midterm. Here is the test for those so daring to look at it. Honestly, it wasn't that difficult, but I blanked on the exam and the NMR question mad me >:( >:(

Some tough questions on there bud. That H-NMR stuff is a pain.
Yeah I understood some of it.. but most is way over my head.
I draw pretty pictures all day... It's was all Greek to me.
That is some pretty complex stuff there. I think I will stick to computers  . Good Luck in the rest of the course

HNMR isn't that bad however he threw a C13 NMR question that we really have never seen before..
Took one look at it and nearly fainted. About crashed my computer from the complexity of it.
lol jk

I did research in college where I had to decipher 2d HNMRs and CNMR's of 1,3-dioxin-4-ones bound to cubic carbon structures where the majority of the carbons were equivalent.
That sucked, but I scored A's on all of my NMR tests after that.
This is why I was a math major but I did recognize H20. I recall we made pure caffeine in chem lab. As long as you're doing what you enjoy. Yeah - you have to watch out for those nasty C13 stumpers :)
I did some P31 NMR in grad school
My hair looks great now, all slicked back... :)
(sound of air rushing over my head)
Huh?
Fun.
I don't envy you my friend!
