Title: Valentine's Day Surprise
Post by: Jen on February 14, 2008, 08:49:24 AM
:wub My husband David surprised me by hiring a chorus group to serenade me this morning. The whole company came to listen. They sang "Let Me call You Sweet Heart".  They were very cute.

Here are some pictures my friends Angela and Holly took. Happy Valentine's Day everyone!  ;)

That was quite nice of your husband.

I hope my wife buys me a DVD box set! That would make a nice Valentine gesture in my book! :)

I think my wife would kill me if I did that. But it would be fun to embarrass her at work!

Yes... The old guys (the singers) were competing to see who could wink the most at me.  :D

That is very cool! This is one of those double duty days for me. V-day + Aniversary.

Is it bad when neither of you can remember how long you've been married and really don't care about how long it's been?

This will be my 23rd year with my sweetheart...  for excitement we are headed to Costco in Olympia this afternoon to shop for a big church dinner next week that my wife is cooking for, then we are going to go out to Ruby Tuesday's for dinner.  Should be fun. I gave her a fun singing card this morning.  I always get something for the kids too.  I got them sugarless energy drinks, some candy and something special just for them.  They always smile.  :)
hey, any excuse to celebrate, I'm there!    :love

I made Creme Brulee from scratch and other assorted yummies for my wife because I always liked it better when I got things that people did for me rather than just bought for me.

Jen, that is one of the coolest surprises I have heard of, I can imagine the look on your face. It's nice to know that romanticism has not died out

Yes, David is a good man. I'm not high maintenance woman, but he's always out to please me. I'm a lucky girl.

We're grilling steak at home tonight to celebrate. :)

Happy Anniversary Chris!
Um... if Dave couldn't remember how long we were married I think I'd be OK. If he didn't care—I'd have a problem.  :dry  :D

It's not that we don't care, but we know that we are going to be together for the rest of our lives and it wasn't when we got married, it's how long we've been in love that we actually remember. The marriage was just something for the courts, but the love was long before the vows and will last long past the day that they were first said.
