Hi, Rico! Here is your dot on the map in South America!
Hi, everybody!

Good show this week again!

This week episode raised a question (from your comment that with TOS klingons, all they needed to disguise as humans was to shave away the goatee): do know why the directors decided to "enhance" the appearance of the klingons  :klingon at TNG? What was so important with that change of look that was worth to sacrifice the continuity?

Do anybody know the answer??

The answer is basically due to the first movie.  Gene R. wanted the Klingons to have a more alien look.  :klingon   And with advances in makeup since TOS they could do that.  So when it came time to do TNG they decided the Klingons would look like this still.    :klingon   "Enterprise" did a two part set of episodes explaining why this happened to the Klingons.  It was basically due to genetic manipulation.

Yes I felt that was one of the greatest ideas in Trek history and it explained why Worf would not want to talk about it when on DS9 and it explained how long ago the first idea of Data was started
