Title: Looking for Video Game Soundtracks
Post by: Jen on January 25, 2008, 11:26:59 AM
I'm going to start microcasts for the Anomaly Podcast (since our regular shows are a month apart or so). I think I'll be featuring a different video game soundtrack from games I've played. I know I can buy several, and I have, but I can't seem to find a few that are among my favorites. Does anyone know where I can buy these soundtracks?

Knights Of The Old Republic I and II and Elderscrolls Oblivion?

Thanks!

Hey Jen, are you and Angela going to put your stuff up on itunes?  Do you have something new?  I have been looking at your site but haven't seen anything as of late.

Here's hoping.  :)

Well, I have the KOTOR I soundtrack. Can't say I came about it honestly, but if you want it I can put some MP3's up on my FTP site. Also have Halo 1 -3.

Hummm... I've looked every where and I really don't think they sell the KOTOR soundtrack, so if you have it... I would very much appreciate the link. Thanks  ;D

Rick

By the end of the month we'll be up. Got a web master populating our pages and testing my gallery database... We recorded two episodes since the September 28th one—which was the second show we did about Renfest it's not the one from last year. We had to trash one of the episodes we rercorded, because we both thought it was the most boring thing we ever recorded... it was our attempt to do a commentary on Star Wars... We kept watching the movie and not saying anything.  :D

I'm editing the second one now. It's giving me problems... when I export it to MP3, part of our conversation drops out. I think the file is corrupt. But I always keep the original, so I have that to work on this weekend. I also made the first vidcast of our Renfest trip, which I mentioned in the Sept 28th episode. There will be a few more to follow. Angela hasn't put that up on the site yet... but it will be by Feb 1st.

Watch out Jen you may need podsafe songs to play (one that has no copy right ie. Johnathan coulton songs) anything other then that may have someone knocking on your door...

Generally for comments and review purposes uses portions of music on a free podcast is just fine.  I'm not a legal expert but I wouldn't worry too much.  I certainly don't for my show.

In particular Star Trek and Star Wars tend to be lenient on fan productions provided you aren't making profit from it.

Or Maybe... Rico is selling his podcast as a drug for geeks which explains his money for collectables...
