I don't know If I should post this... but I can't resist. This is supposedly the new trailer. I can't see anything that immediately says "Fake", but the things that can be forged these days. Anyway, It is a little blurry but It's up to you if you want to see it. I have a feeling it may be taken down soon.

I think you got it this time Kenny! That looks good to me!
EDIT: I mean Tim, not Kenny. Damn multitasking!
Goose bumps! That is real. One it matches Kenny's description... and two everything is cleverly done, right down to the tag line "under construction". Some geek in his basement didn't put that together. Nimoy's voice sounds older too.
Where does this ship they're working on fit into the whole "Enterprise chronology"? I thought Archer's Enterprise was the first Federation Starship... The necels tell me it's not the same ship.
That'ss Tim, not Kenny and THAT'S IT!!!!!!!
Ha ha ha I wasn't paying attention!

It's meant to be the original Enterprise jazzed up. That's the Constitution class Enterprise NCC-1701.
I also got goosebumps...and nearly wet my pants. :-\
And when Nimoy spoke, that was it, I had to post it.
As for Archers Enterprise, I can only assume that NCC 1701 is the new flagship of the fleet with new technology, hence the film highlighting the building of it. I also like the "Under Construction" banner. Nice touch. Did the ship look gun metal grey (like Archers) rather than white to anyone else, or is it just the poor quality of the trailer?
Oh Bugger. I just saw that the trailer has been previously been posted by "The IC" in another thread. Sorry chaps. As soon as I got on the net tonight, I searched for and viewed it before checking new updates on this site, I just assumed that it would have it's own post. So I apologise for posting it again. I just got over excited and In my haste, I just posted it without proper research of previous posts. Sorry guys. :blush
No worries. It probably deserves its own thread.
hahahaha Poor Kenny, doesn't it feel good to be credited for everything? Even if it wasn't you? lol lol
Just messing with you man. ;)
King
I'm still waiting for a nice clean version.. this is lifted from the You Tube version..
Jen, I posted a pic of what this Enterprise may look like in the Star Trek XI Spoilers thread.
This has been posted and discussed quite a bit already in the Star Trek XI thread here:

Archer's Enterprise was the first
Starfleet ship named Enterprise, but it was made before there was a United Federation of Planets. The 1701 was the first ship in the fleet named Enterprise
after the creation of the UFP.
After Archer's NX class starship, the Fleet was made up largely of Daedalus Class starships, like this-
(http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t91/wraith1702/daedalus_01.jpg)
The Daedalus was then later replaced by a new, cutting-edge starship design- the Constitution class, which is the type of ship that Kirk's Enterprise was.
This is a reboot folks, I think this 1701 could be the 1st of the constitutions, or maybe the second.
I have a feeling Abrams and crew may pull a bit of Trek from here and there, but have been given the greenlight to reimagine things a bit.
And personally, I hope so. I dont want to spend the next however many movies worrying about canon.
Lets respect Roddenberry and make new canon
It's the second, the USS Constitution, NCC-1700 being the first.

Yep. :)
By the way; I've made peace with the fact that this film won't mirror what is currently accepted as canon - after all, when time travel is involved, continuity tends to get pretty malleable. I'm fine with this; after all, it's not like this is the first time that canon has been altered or retconned in the Star Trek universe.
I am wondering how a couple of things will be addressed, however.
For example, Kirk was the 3rd Captain of the 1701, wasn't he? First April, then Pike, then Kirk. And Spock had served with Pike on the Enterprise for several years before he met up with Kirk. So; in this new timeline, are Kirk, Spock and company the first crew to command the 1701? Just wondering...

I think many of us are wondering the same thing because according to canon, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong here, Spock served under Pike for 11 years before Kirk took command.

Sounds right to me, Kevin.
Don't get me wrong; I'm willing to overlook any changes, as long as the writers can explain them. I guess it is likely that the villain's attempts to change the time line (if this does turn out to be the plot of the story) will alter how and when the Enterprise crew comes together. I look forward to seeing how this will play out.
Who says they are in command of the ship? At least early on. Keep in mind from what has been rumored this is going to not be a linear plot. If you take my meaning.
Official full teaser trailer is now up! Online here: http://www.paramount.com/startrek/
THAT WAS AWESOME... so much better then the You tube version.. can't wait to see it on the big screen.
Seriously! Now I am super excited! My wife said it was cute to see me getting so excited about a movie.
Now - that's what I'm talking about! ;)
Guys, on the teaser page there is a little red light or button just to the right of where it says under construction. Click it and it takes you here: http://www.ncc-1701.com/
COOL!!!
That's a cool find... I got three of the four monitors working.. it's kind of cool that you have to tweak them for them to come in clear.. I love all the intractive stuff.
That will make a nice promotion and curry favor with the fans if the studio implements "MYST" type puzzles to gain clues about the movie.
Currently I look forward to the December release as if it where a family reunion - Just not shure who else will show up, but I expect it's not the family that I remember.
Try these settings on the cameras...
If you don't want to play around...then the setting are [CAM 1: 564, CAM 2: 125, CAM 3: 955, CAM 4: 289]
P.S. It seems each time you load the page one camera is randomly offline. Just reload to try again, but I've only ever seen three up at once.
That is so cool. I am loving this. How incredible!
The boys went to Cloverfield last night and said that folks weren't too excited abou the star trek trailer. Oh well, I am excited about it!
:)
Interesting but I would have liked it more if they actually showed you something you don't see in the trailer.
Kevin
A couple of links to download the HD trailers. If you right-click and "Save As", it will show that it's a DLL file. If you rename it with the .MOV extension, it will play fine in Quicktime. Otherwise just click on the link to view in the browser in HD.
