It is kind of cool he is being so upfront now, and a lot more laid back. I haven't used vista yet, but I have hard time believing that it could be worse then Windows ME. If I had my choice, I would finger Microsoft Sharepoint, as I don't like that product at all, and not feeling any better about the 2007 version we just installed at work. I listened to a few more interviews on the site, and he sounds like a nice enough guy. He certainly does not come across as a smooth talker, which seems to make him more real then some other executives.

Bill was a techie and it still shines through. Vista is OK but you better have the horsepower to run it otherwise it's gonna stink, but to me that's just keeping up with the times.

I fully agree, I just got Vista for my computer, and although its not revolutionary, it is definitely better than XP. There is a slight problem tough, it feels rushed, as if some guys accidental deleted the Longhorn sourcecode and had to slap something together from XP.

Thus, for me, Vista isn't Vista, its XP++,

WinFS would have been awesome to have and I think would have helped Vista since it is unique ( for MIcrosoft ), of course during beta you could tell it was not ready.

I think the next version they should scrap all the windows code all together and start over with a new kind of platform.

I think the SP1 patch coming very soon (a few weeks) for Vista should help a great deal.

Besides all of the people I heard that downgraded back to XP to get their stuff working again the funniest thing I have heard was that laptop users have to turn AERO off in order to get a decent battery operation time.  Wasting processing power and therefore energy just for some eye candy.

Try Ubuntu.
