Got this nice item from a fan of the Podcast.  :Bow:  (thanks Jonnie)    It's a TOS styled tricorder that comes with the TOS DVD set in Japan.  It's very well done and is also an FM/AM radio!  I'll discuss it more on this week's Podcast.  Check out the pics below:

i want one. why didn't they release that in the USwith the dvds. not fair! >:(

Yeah, I saw a few of thoses on eBay when the DVDs came out. Never got it, was too expensive (the 3 DVDs and the tricorder). You're a lucky man, Rico!

It comes with the TOS DVD sets in Japan.  A very nice listener was kind enough to send me one.  I talk more about it on the show this week.

If you have a spare $700, you can snag one for yourself off of the Amazon Japan site.  Does anyone know of a way I can look through that site and have pages translated as I go?  I'm interested in picking up some Japanese discs and would love to have the reliability of Amazon as i do so.

$700?!?!?!!   Jiminy!!  I'd love to get the Japanese TNG Tricorder too, but not at that price.  I do have my limits!  ;)

To be fair, you get all three seasons of TOS (Region 2 and with burned-in Japanese subtitles), a display case, and the tricorder radio for your $700.  A bargain at twice the price!  :roflmao

To be fair he didn't get it for free.

He got it from a fan who loves that he puts out a kick ass podcast at least once a week, runs a site and some forums.

Doesnt sound free to me!!  :)
