I don't know if this has been posted here before but I came across this really cool home theater link:

Posted before I think but still quite cool. My goal is to redo my basement someday in somewhat that style.
If I had a basement, it would be my goal too. I just can't convince Amy to let me re-do the family room!
:)
That would be really cool. My Basement is to small, I hope to move into a larger house someday, and do something really nice with the basement
All my life I have never lived in a place with a basement. Around here they tend to fill up with water, thus two story houses mostly. Some of the older homes have them.
I think the key would be a bigger house like you said Jeff, then we could have our own room for our stuff! :)
Amy is pretty tolerant of my sci fi obsession, but I don't think she would be comfortable on the bridge of the Enterprise. :) or with a life size Cylon on our porch. :)
That is incredibly cool. But I'll agree with you Rick, I don't think she would like the bridge a lot ;)

P.S. If I were to design one, I would put snack bar replicators in the back. Don't know how i would do it, but I'd manage somehow. ;)
Dave would be down with a special "trek theater". As I mentioned before, he's not a Trekky, but I think he'd be accepting if it was just one room. That would be awesome...but I think I would design an office, not a theater. Maybe Captain Picard's Readyroom. :)
Now that would work! A ready room!
SWEEEEEEET! :vulcan
Yeah, with a fish tank in the wall and a viewport with streaking stars.
and don't forget the cool little couch, and the replicator... "Earl Grey, Hot!" and the cool little laptop on the neato frito desk....
or the book in the case.....
No two-tone mauve carpet...that's out of the question. I'd have to take some artistic license with that.
