It's OK if you're not secure enough in your masculinity to admit you like or love Disney movies but I am fully secure and I love Disney! I have been a fan of Disney since a little kid when my brother and I would attend the weekend matinée on Saturdays. My Grandmother loved Disney and on Sunday evenings she would watch Lassie and the Wonderful World of Disney and often us kids were at her house on Sundays. Of course when I was growing up we didn't have videos and when a Disney movie came to the theater it was almost a once in a lifetime treat. We never really thought we would be able to watch these precious films anytime we wanted.
I'm especially a fan of the Disney animation and collect most of the animated releases. I have a complete set on DVD of all 47 animated feature films that have been released. For us collectors Disney has been real kind to us the last seven or eight years and given us "waves" of what are titled The Disney Treasures. These are collections of all their animated shorts and other rare ventures that Disney did from the 1920's to the 1950's. These have just been wonderful! Each DVD is a two disc set and comes in a tin box, similar to movie storage tins like the old reels were packed in, and are numbered and signed. They have released every Mickey Mouse, Goofy and Pluto cartoons, as well as the Silly Symphonies and WWII training films, and three volumes of Donald Duck, which hopefully will be completed next year. No other studio has been so good to their fans imho as Disney has. They don't make a lot of profit off these collectibles. Most are only issued in 50,000 to 100,000 copies and that's it. They will never be re-released in this format again.
Anyway, the latest wave of Disney Treasures was released on Tuesday and every year when these come out it once again makes me appreciate the exposure I had to Disney as a kid. I love to read about Disney and especially love watching Disney films.
So, is anyone else a huge fan? Come out and say so! And if you don't like Disney that's OK because nothing will change the way I feel about Disney.

I love Disney.. have loved it since I was a kid. I enjoy the classic cartoons, my favorite when I was younger was The Rescuers. As for the newer ones it's tough to pick just one. Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Lion King and Aladdin are some of my favorites. And when Disney teamed up with Pixar they made one of my all time favorites movies Toy Story. What I love most about the Disney cartoons is that they hold up well over time. I can sit down and watch Snow White and enjoy it as much if not more then when I was little. Disney makes films that can appeal to the kid in anyone.
I am a HUGE Disney fan. We go every year at least once to WDW. We go in April this year. I can't wait to see the new Spaceship Earth!!!!
I collect original ride props and misc. other Disney items.
I also love Disney and I'm not embarrassed to admit it! My brother lives in Orlando about a 5 minute drive to the Magic Kingdom. My wife has never been to WDW so next time we head down I am going to give her the total experience!
I love alot of the older stuff. I am not a huge musical fan so Disney movies are hit or miss for me. The Classics are still the classics thought (Bambi, Snow white et al) and our whole family loves them. I am just not a huge fan of the more recent top 40-ish, somewhat politically-correct disney releases.
I've always loved the Disney films. "Beauty and the Beast" is one of my favorites.
I also have ALL the real ride music from WDW. These are not copies. This is the original recordings. So for example I have the master loop for Its a Small World, all 48 minutes of it :)
Well, I'm glad to see that at least some of the member are brave enough to admit they like/love Disney!
I watched the Disneyland volume of the latest Treasures releases this evening and I have to say it is amazing! Disney was such a visionary and I don't think most people have looked at his life close enough to understand how gifted he really was. The world would be a sadder and much darker place today if there had not even been a Walt Disney. If you are one of those people who have just kind of shrugged your shoulders and said "Oh yea Disney! The mouse guy," then perhaps you need to actually do yourself and your family, or future family, a favor and look more closely at Disney. He wasn't a saint by any means but he sure had vision, and if you can escape into what is childlike, NOT childish, for a little while, and find some small happiness in life because of Disney, then his life was worth it and had meaning. Do yourself a favor today and learn how to have some fun again! Take your next vacation and go to Disneyland or Disney world! You will not regret it! Even if you have no kids! Trust me on this one.

I guess I should really just say this:
I'm a minor fan of Disney.
;) :) :)

I'm not as big a fan of Disney TV, at least of the 2000's but before that they produced some fine animated TV series like Duck Tales, Darkwing Duck, Tailspin, Rescue Rangers and Gargoyles. Hopefully the new CEO will bring about a renaissance in their TV programming. That's probably about two years down the road. However, when you look at just the list of Disney animated features there are very few losers IMHO. I agree that the pre-1960 material is the best and that's probably why I really love the Disney Treasures series. I bet there are several hundred shorts that have been released on the Treasures series and I would wager that most members have likely seen but a handful of the great films Disney made.
Anyway, nothing can diminish my love of Disney and I think they are probably the only company around that still produces quality family entertainment.

If anyone is confused, I deleted my post to simplify what I was trying to say.

I like Disney stuff. One of my faves was Tarzan with Phil Collins. That was simply a cool movie.
