It's gaming overload this holiday. I'm not even close to finishing with Halo 3 and The Orange Box, and there are so many great games coming out this month that I consider "must plays" that I don't know what to do. I literally don't have anywhere close to the time I would need to play everything I want to, let alone the money it would cost to buy them all. Just next week there's Assassin's Creed, Super Mario Galaxy, Smackdown Vs. Raw 2008, and then the following week comes the big daddy of them all, Mass Effect. The same day as Mass Effect comes the $170 Rock Band package, which I am really tempted to buy but probably won't because none of my friends would play with me. Follow those with Call of Duty 4 in early December. I'm not even mentioning games I'll probably just rent like the Simpsons Game and Virutua Fighter 5 online which are already out.
All I can say is it's a good time to be a gamer if you have a Wii and a 360.
Well, I only want the games that sound like something I could play more than once, because if I'm going to drop 60-70 bucks on a game, it better be VERY GOOD. :D
I've heard many great things about Mass Effect and that will probably be the only one I buy until The Force Unleashed. I'm still holding out hope that Spore will come to fruition as well. :-X
I will definitely be taking a WoW break for Spore.
I haven't really seen anything about the Force Unleashed that has led me to believe that it's going to be a very good game, Jen. Just the fact that it was supposed to have come out a long time ago but was delayed for almost a year doesn't really bode very well for the game. Believe me, I really hope it's good, especially the Wii version as it is supposed to be the first Star Wars game that includes lightsaber controls using the Wii-mote. Have you read or seen anything about this new game that has you excited or is it just the license that has you stoked?
I've been listening to podcasts about it as well as reading info online. I also visited the Force Unleashed site and watched the demo video as well as video of the demonstration that they gave at one of the cons a while back, regarding the AI. Interesting stuff. There's also a bit of a story and character profiles on that site. So far, it sounds promising.
I have a feeling the new AI is what delayed the game. I'd rather it take longer anyway...To me, it means they're trying to do things right.
