So it's been a little over a month and the new TV season has begun and we have seen a few episodes of some new series... anyone have any favorites? any shows that you have given up on?
The new series I watched were Chuck, The Big Bang Theory, Journeyman, Bionic Woman, Pushing Daises and Moonlight. Here are my thoughts.
Hits for me, must watch, can't miss an episode:
The Big Bang Theory - funniest tv show that I have seen in a long while.
Pushing Daisies - Quirky, funny, romantic, and I love the coloring and style of the show.
Just Okay, will record on my DVR and watch if I can:
Chuck - Watched the first two episodes, it was okay, but I still have two more episodes on my DVR waiting to be watched.
Journeyman - Like Chuck I watched the first two episodes and it was okay, but I still have two episodes waiting for me on my DVR.
Really want to see just haven't found the time:
Bionic Woman - Saw the pilot at comic con and really liked it. But I have all the episodes on DVR and haven't watched a single one yet.
Moonlight - Again like the idea and really want to see it but still have the episodes sitting on my DVR waiting to be watched.
I'm really hoping to catch up on Bionic Woman and Moonlight. Chuck and Journeyman I will watch if I can but won't be disappointed if I miss them. But come hell or high water I will watch Big Bang and Pushing Daisies.
I finally saw an episode of Pushing Dasies. I must say it's really good and entertaining. Kinda reminded me of Desperate Housewives in style (quirky, narration) but more appealing to the geek population what with the whole fantasy aspect.
Haven't had a chance to see anything else so far.
Just seems to be almost too much "geek TV" on this season. I'm having trouble keeping up too. I also really enjoy "The Big Bang Theory." I think my next favorite is "Moonlight." I just always like those vampire stories.
I'm just ok with "Chuck," "Bionic Woman" and "Journeyman." I like them but there is something about each that just seems to not be quite right. I'll keep watching them for now.
"Pushing Daisies" I haven't had a chance to catch yet but will try to sometime. Sounds good.
And of course I'm glad "Stargate: Atlantis" is back on. My favorite current Sci-Fi show. :tealc
and of course we'll be in even more trouble when BSG:Razor happens in November.
Ok, the hits for me on the new shows..
I really am enjoying Bionic Woman, Journeyman is cool and Chuck is absolutley hysterical!
I have DVR'd pushing daisies, but haven't watched it yet. I passed on moonlight, and only watched one episode of Big bang theory so far.
Other good ones this season, but not new...
NCIS
Law & Order CI
CSI (all three)
Stargate Atlantis
I am enjoying Journeyman a lot, as well the Bionic Woman is getting better, this weeks epsiode I thought was fantastic. The other new show I am watching is Life which is after Bionic Woman, not Sci-Fi, but I enjoy it and has the guy from Band of Brothers.
Old, but new to me is Las Vegas, I never watched much before, but this season with Tom Selleck, I started watching it regularily. I find with having HD TV and a PVR I watch way more TV then I did in the past.
Chuck - good mix of comedy and drama
BBT - absolute HOOT. Now all the world can see what's so funny about geeks
Heroes - best in show
Journeyman - what the heck is going on ? Like Picard, I love a mystery. Should be moved to another night at 9
The Unit - great show about our brave soldiers. Smart writing
Bionic Woman - shouldn't her hair be almost horizontal when she runs ? I'll keep watching but the show is on the fence for me
Stargate Atlantis - 10:02 ? Is Duck Dodgers (Flash) that good it needs another 2 minutes ? I like Wier better then Carter (Rodney would disagree) but still a great show.
NUMB3RS - Good all 'round show. Need to get Megan and Larry back together. Damn that show 24 !!!
Batman - very smart writing for a cartoon
SciFi Saturday - replace it with MST3000 to spoof these pieces of CRAP. Ratings will soar
Family Guy - hehehehehehe...
American Dad - when its funny, its great but doesn't happen often enough. Patrick Stewart (Bullock) has a great voice for cartoons. Roger/Stan are the Stewie/Brian of the show
When BSGR starts, what night will it be on ? Monday ? :roflmao
Special episodes on Fox 11/4
Simpsons Treehouse of Horrors 8pm
Family Guy 100th episode special 8:30
Family Guy 9:00 - Stewie kills Lois ?
American Dad 9:30 - The In-laws
Looking forward to those shows tonight.
I like Bionic Women so far this year. I am realy on the fence with Heros though. It just seems to be crawling this year for me with small cute stories I really do not care about. Here's hoping it picks up!
