Rick and Nathan Moyer created this cool alien intro and ad for the podcast. I'll be using it next week on the show but I wanted to create a little banner to go along with it. Check this out:

It will make more sense once you hear the audio. If anyone else wants to take a crack at making banners for the podcast, etc. post them up here.
haha - funny. I'll try to make an FG/RobotChicken/American Dad version. What is the current banner ?

These are goofy but fun.
WOW! Great work guys! I love them all. I'm going to make a page off the main web site with a selection of them for folks to grab and use. Keep them coming!
Very cool. I'll come up with something after I move, I just packed up my machines, all I have left is my laptop for a week or two. I've got one or two ideas.
I like Wraith's idea the best so far, but I would suggest taking out the Enterprise D and putting Voyager or DS9 in. Thats my suggestion anyway.

here we go..
Geordi & Jaxia
Earthling!
A few things to keep in mind on these. I think it's best if they contain the www.treksinscifi.com URL and mention the word podcast somewhere. But I would keep the text to a minimum. Also, it helps to be eye catching of course. That's why I'm liking the alien type ones. They are a bit more different and unusual than just the various ship designs. Also, anyone feel free to grab one you like and use it where you see fit. Especially as a signature on other forums to spread the word around.
If you need to save space, I would recommend dropping the www from the address on the banner. Oh and my favorite is the tabloid headline. ;)
Here's a preview of the audio file that started this whole "Take me to your Rico" thing. Made by Rick and Nathan Moyer. Enjoy!

Its a good clip, but if editing could be done, reduce the microphone "puffs" otherwise, great job guys!

Yes, we need better equipment! AHHHHH $20 mic headsets aren't cutting it.
Ah, I will see what I can find.
:)
As a former radio guy, I'm sure you already know this. In fact, I don't know why I'm mentioning it, but a pop filter would help; you wouldn't have to spend a lot of money on one of those if you couldn't upgrade your mic.
One simple thing Rick would be to just turn down your recording volume a bit. I notice the high spikes or clicks in volume more than the puffs. Oh, a cheap pop filter can be made by bending a metal coat hanger into a rough circle and stretching some old nylons over it.
But again - I loved the clip you two made!
yes, Nathan's mic lost the wind screen.
:)
