Title: Halloween Plans
Post by: Dan M on October 14, 2007, 07:32:12 AM
My family is going trick-or-treating with my sisters family.  My girls are going as Wonder Woman and Batgirl.  My baby boy will probably be a monster (using that costume for the third and final time).

I'm dressing as a jedi.  I've had the costume since last year, but didn't get to wear it then because all the kids were sick.  It's a quality outfit, down to a nice bootleg Obi-Wan lightsaber replica.  (There's no way I'd wear my MR LE saber.)

My outfit should go well with my nephews' costumes.  The four of them are dressing as a stormtrooper, jedi, Vader and Yoda.  My sister may even go as Princess Leia in the white outfit from Ep.4.

I'll upload pictures.

What are your plans?

Most likely a Jedi.  The robe keeps me warm on those cold October nights in Michigan.  Plus I have a lot of Force FX sabers to pick from.  :)

Well, Nathan is dressing up like the Verizon guy, since he works at a Verizon store.  Can you hear me now?

I on the other hand I will be busy at the church that night, we have a big concert and community event.  Should be fun.

I remember one time when I worked for JC Penney's I dressed up like a plastic Penney's sack.   I got one of those hazard outfits from a local pulp mill.  It was a white paper jump suit that was disposable.  I glued hundreds of sacks on that thing, made a tie out of plastic sacks and then a hood with eye and mouth holes.  I was a hit.  I won a 100 gift certificate for most original costume.

:)

We're having a costume contest at work. My friend Angela and I will be dressing up in hopes of winning prize money for best costumed duo. I'm going as a Vulcan Science Officer (TNG era) and she's probably going as Counselor Troi. Not that anyone at work would comprende who or what we are but...that's what we're doing.  :)

I'm afraid I really don't believe in doing all that.  Its how I was raised and what I believe.  Perhaps I'm just "old fashioned."  That is just me.  However, the last 1-2 years I've been supporting local charities that use Halloween to their advantage.  ;)  Such as $$$ Trick or Treat or charity haunted houses.

Well, I'm depressed. I looked all over town and asked many custom costumers, but I couldn't come up with alternate Spock's actual shirt (shiny, oriental-cut, etc.), so I had to get hold of a regular blue Star Trek shirt, which I'll probably deck out with all those extra pins. But I feel like I'm going to be half-assing it. Grr!

Taking the little ones T-or-T-ing
The 7 year old will be a vampire
The 6 year old is going to be a witch
The 1 year old is going to a lady-bug
Our 13 year old is going to stay home and hand out candy...she'll prolly put on more black makeup than usual and be a moddy punk a$$ teenager...not too much of a stretch really....:D

That'll be cute Darth! My three year old Niece was a ladybug on her first Halloween...she progressed to Snow White last year...this year, she wants to be a pirate. With each year that passes she becomes more and more like her aunt Jen. Soon, I'll have her wearing a Star Wars costume! Moohaaahaaa!

FYI we had to change our costume plans...since Angela is expecting (she's twelve weeks now), she doesn't feel much like being Counselor Troi. So we'll just wear our Renfest costumes again. I'll have a wool robe to wear with mine this go-round.
