Title: iTunes??!
Post by: KingIsaacLinksr on October 10, 2007, 10:10:13 PM
WOOT, I finally hit 250 posts which means I'm a Captain!!!

But thats not the point :)

I just posted some reviews on iTunes and found that they had completely rewritten what I wanted to say.  Now thats not to say that I cussed or anything, but they completely changed what I said....talk about censorship.  Isn't this infringing on our freedom to speech?

Freedom of speech in America and freedom of speech in a company are two different things. You always have freedom to say and pretty much do what you want ( within the law) but a company can censor anything done in or under it's name as long as they see fit. Just my opinion......

Hmm, that's a bit surprising to me.  I've written some stuff on iTunes and they posted it up - word for word.  But Blackride is correct, the Constitution pretty much goes out the window in this type of case.  However, if iTunes did this a lot and it became public knowledge I'm sure they would take some heat for it.

Well as long as they didn't change "Treks in Sci Fi rules!" to "Treks in Sci Fi sucks!" I guess it's not so bad.

Very true, but yea, I first thought it was a glitch and I reread the whole thing, and its completely different, can't blame that on a computer connection.

Congrats Captain Kinglinksr.
Yeah I can't believe they would do that unless someone complained or reported your comment and they didn't like some language that may have been used. I've never seen that happen before...they usually just delete the ones they deem unfit. Now you can say you've been censored. Congrats again—you rule breaker. :)

I write posts on a few other blogs and they all have a terms of use clause.  They reserve the right to change posts or completely remove the post if they determine it violates the agreement.  Rico has the same thing here.   If I said something like "Star Trek - what a complete waste of time.  A 40 year old show with hack actors and lame scripts."  -- he could edit or complete remove this post, right ?    :boxing  :jawdrop

You will NEVER get me in a transporter and once in a while, I will get the girl.  Time travel is cool but I would probably screw up history because I'm such a nice guy.  I've never had a mint julep.
