There is a great thread ovcer at the RPF asking if anyone hgas wathched all 6 SW films in one dat. What's interetsting is that more people seem to be able to watch the Lord of the Rings Extended edditon easier than all 6 SW films. Thoughts?
Honestly I can't sit through LOTR or SW in one day. That's just too long for me....
I would say that LOTR plays better as one continual story unlike SW which does not flow as well. I think this is in part due to the way that LOTR was filmed in a short period and for the simple fact that LOTR had such great source material.
I've watched all of them in one day, but it wasn't quite as rewarding as LOTR or Trek in one day. Going from NEW to OLD was kind of jaring in terms of visuals.
I've watched A New Hope, Empire, & Jedi in one sitting, probably three or four times actually, but I can't imagine doing I - VI. I watched the LOTR trilogy in one sitting when the special edition of Return of the King came out and I will probably do it again soon since I got my HDTV.
I've never tried this. I'd like to but I never seem to have that much time anymore in one block. I might try a different take on it and just watch one movie a night for six days in a row sometime. I do want to check out these and the LOTR films on the new big TV, upscaled. Can't wait to see all these released again in HD!
I've done Star Wars 4, 5 and 6 but not all six.. like Rico I just don't have the time. I saw LOTR Trilogy back to back to back in the theater and would love to do it again. Just have to find some free time.
Same here. I've done the original trilogy but not the new ones. As much as my wife also loves sci fi I think she'd murder me if I tried to monopolize the tv for that long!
I've watched the original trilogy in one sitting once or twice, and I watched the prequel trilogy in one sitting on one occasion.
Even if I had the desire, I don't think my life would allow me to watch all six in a row.
My friend has a party each year where they watch all three LOTR extended editions. If I attend, I show up halfway through.
That's just a lot of walking to sit through. :)

LOL, thats reminds me of Clerks 2, where they go into the whole thing about 3 movies of walking.
Rainy days are the best to watch 3 in a row...
The prequel trilogy, Star Trek II - III and IV,
or all 3 "Back to the Futures" :juggle
A few months ago HBO showed all six star wars back to back. It was nice, but I'm spoiled for widescreen and it wasn't in it.
Blackride, Just X...are you two brothers? You look a lot alike. ;)
I've never watched all the Star Wars movies in one dayâ€"I think I would O.D. :blink
I've watched them over the course of six consecutive days...does that count?
I don't think I could watch all six in one day but I have watched them in consecutive order from Episode One forward in six days. That was fun to do and I actually got a better grasp of the continuity between all the films. I think that when watching series of films it is best to watch all of them in as close a period as possible. My wife and I watch all ten Star Trek films at least once a year but we do one a weekend until we are done. We've done the same with the James Bond films.
