Master Replicas it seems is going to be putting out a "Build Your Own" Force FX lightsaber. This thing looks very cool and I discuss it a little on this weekend's podcast. Check out the pics and link below for more info:

Wow I could make my OWN lightsaber that is not extremely cheap!
The Force FX line from Master Replicas is worth every penny. One of the best products they have done or has ever been done for Star Wars.

I couldn't agree more, one of the best collectible deals ever. (Though a $160 Clonetrooper helmet edges it out, doesn't it, Rico? :) )
Yes - yes it does! I really hope MR makes these FX build your own sabers. They have like a dozen pieces from Star Wars still needing to get done before Dec. 31st, 2007. And where the heck are the mini-helmets???
Good question about the mini-helmets. That's the only MR item I have left pre-ordered, the mini Luke X-Wing helmet. I hope we see them.

Well I need the kit first... and I refuse to buy the hasbro one, I may actually save 100.00 $$ for it but at the moment I am saving for a xbox 360...
I am hoping that they come out with this Build your Own Lightsaber as well, as that would be really cool. Seems like a lot of stuff to get out in the next few months. I was reading where they were planning on coming out with some Clone Mini Helmets as well, so it makes me wonder if they will be able to do it.
I'm getting one of these...I heard they're set to come out in October at Radio Shack.
Scroll down to view video and pictures of Master Replica's last Force FX Lightsaber. I heard that they have confirmed that these will be made before their contract runs out. :starwars:

Talked about these in the most recent podcast. And in this thread too: http://www.treksf.com/forums/index.php?topic=3043.0
(I'll merge this thread in with the other one.....).....merging.......
AH...I'm sorry. I forgot.
Well now I need a black shirt and a black robe and I will be a great sith (I am already pale enough he-he) Oh and I need to think my teachers are holding me back, and a whiny attitude
Heard these will be exclusive to Radio Shack stores. Probably in time for the holidays.
Oh? Good thing I can go to radio shack easily!
Hopefully they will make their way up to Canada. I am not really sure if we have Radio Shack or not anymore, they renamed them all the Source by Circuit City. Hopefully MR will make them available on their Site as well.
Maybe someone here can get one for you and mail it?
I might give that a try if does not show up in canada. Hopefully MR and Radio Shack have more info in the next month or so.
I saw this last night at Radio Shack and I have to say I was disappointed. The three pieces fit together loosely and are all plastic. The LED blade is smaller than a normal Force FX saber, more like the size of the Yoda scaled Force FX saber. For $100 I would much rather buy another nice full Force FX saber with a metal hilt. I was excited by this set at first but I think I'll be passing on this one.
Thanks for the review, I had heard some other reports as well with the same thoughts. I will pass on this one, to bad as it was a cool idea.
Ah, that's disappointing, but good to know Rico. I don't want to buy it if it's not quality. One hundred bucks is a lot to spend on a toy, especially if it's lacking.
I've been thinking of designing and building my own EL lightsaber. You can buy most of the parts you need from Radioshack or from this company:

I think I'll probably sculpt and cast my own hilt, either in resin or bronze as I used to be a bronze sculptor.
That's a neat site Jen. Yeah this kit wasn't all I was hoping for. Check it out at Radio Shack first before buying.
Cast your own hilt - sounds very cool!
I want one too bad I live in canada
