Wow...Uber violent, but I thought Windtalkers was "over the top"
Glad to see that Sly can still run and jump.
I'm a sucker for these kinds of movies. I'll see it.
Just saw the article in USA...omg. He's baaaaaack !!
If the strike continues - hey, gotta have something to do. Maybe I'll go in costume.
Anyone know where I can get an old guys fat suit ?? :)
I will rent it. The last Rocky was actually good so I will give this one a shot also.
The first movie was a great film. Stallone and Dennehy were awesome.
2 & 3 were fun cartoons, but I hope this final film will return to the "realism" of the first. And it looks like it will.
Well. I did see Balboa. Guess I could see this one too
First one was great. Is this #4 ?
Man... the violence in this looks so extreme, it's almost funny. :o
I'll probably check it out anyway.
Rambo's Last Act of Heroism
Written by: Samuel K. Sloan (FarPoint Media Executive News Director)
Rocky returned to the ring last year in an exhibition movie bout that actually turned out to be one of actor Sylvester Stallone's best performances in his long 30+ year career. "Rocky Balboa" turned in critical and fan praise as well as a substantial box office take, making it one of the most successful films of 2006.
Now the 60-year old rough and tumble will put on the fatigues and red bandana one last time to see if he can give another of his famous characters — Rambo — a fitting closure, as he did with Rocky Balboa.
This fourth and final film in the Vietnam vet franchise, simply titled "Rambo," not only stars Sly, but was also written and directed by him.
"Rambo" follows the aging action hero into the jungles of Thailand where Rambo assembles a group of like-minded mercenaries to find a missing group of Christian aid workers. Along the way Rambo comes to the aid of the Karen, a group of villagers being oppressed by a sadistic Burmese military leader named Major Pa Tee Tint. As it turns out he is the same guy responsible for the kidnapping and torture of the Christian missionaries.
We are left to wonder if Sly will resurrect Cobra one last time for his next farewell feature.
"Rambo" will make its big screen premiere on January 25, 2008.
I'm really looking forward to this. He did well with "Rocky Balboa" bringing more realism and depth to the role. I hope Stallone can hit gold once more.
It pains to think that Sly is 60 years old. Wow.
Not my style. big fan of Rocky, but Rambo? not so much.
I'll watch it and I'll like it even if it isn't that good. I didn't that the last Rocky movie was that great because they killed off Adren.
But I don't think they can screw up a rambo movie.
Did they just change the name to distance itself from Rocky Balboa? As far has not making the name of the charictor the title of the movie?
