Title: The Dark Knight new photos - slight spoilers
Post by: Rico on August 17, 2007, 07:32:46 AM
Some new photos have turned up online from the next Batman movie, "The Dark Knight."  Not a lot of spoilers in these pics but you do see some more of the Joker, gadgets, etc.

Man, how scary does Heath Ledger look? I'm so looking forward to this movie. If It's half as good as "Batman  Begins", It's going to be fantastic.
And I'm really interested to see how Ledger portrays "The Joker". It was very surprising to see him cast as probably the most infamous Batman villain. I would never have seen him as a possibility and my first reaction was , "Nooo don't do it, Mr wooden will never pull it off," but I just watched "Brokeback Mountain" and saw that he is pretty versatile and put in an unforgettable performance. I hope I am proved wrong and that he can at least be almost as good as the best Joker ever, Jack Nicholson,

Yeah - I think it's going to be great.  I think the only thing that would of improved "Batman Begins" would of been a little more focused bad guy.  Don't get me wrong, I loved "Batman Begins", but I think with the Joker in this next movie it's going to be amazing!

Yeah, I think "Scarecrow" was almost surplus to requirements. The film was basically an origin story and one of the better origin films. The whole aquiring the suit and ears part? So obvious but missed by many films. I mean look at Spiderman. One minute he was running around in blue and red pyjamas and the next, he had the coolest suit in the world. Although I still love the first Spidey film. It seems that comic book movies CAN be grown up.

Yeah, that really bothered me about the first Spidey film.  How did that kid create that suit?  I've got a ton more resources than him, and I couldn't begin to make it.

(I still love the movie.  Of the first two films, the first is, by far, my favorite.  Missed 3 in theaters.)

How did the Spidey comics deal with the whole suit thing?

He made it himself, just like in the movie.

Jack in that role was pure genius. I too like the new look, more realistic and gruesome.

I have always liked Heath Ledger movies, so I am confident he will do a good job with the Joker.

Jack Nicholson is favorite bad guy actor. Maybe it's because he isn't really acting , but he does the most convincing "crazy" I've ever seen. "They don't make 'em like the use to!"

I think I'll have to be convinced the Ledger can fill Nicholson's shoes. Seeing is believing.
