Title: What the Hell?
Post by: space_invader64 on June 21, 2007, 11:40:34 AM
I was watching City on the Edge of Forever the other day when I noticed that Kirk says, at the end, Lets Get the Hell out of here.  Was this the way it originally aired in the 60s?  Wonder how that got by the censors?  I mean the network censors!

Yes - this is how it originally aired.

Well Trek has always pushed the boundaries.. they had a multi regional cast.. they had the first interracial kiss between a white man and black woman. There were a lot of firsts on Trek.. I wouldn't expect anything else from this series.

Hmm,  I wonder if that was the first time Hell was used as a slang term on TV?
