More importantly, it is confirmed that we will be seeing an Ep1 Obi-Wan FX saber and an Ep6 Vader mini saber. Yay!
Boy, Master Replicas has a lot to get done and shipping before the end of 2007. I'm wondering if they will make it. The Boba Fett blaster is still not out yet.
It does seem like they have a lot on their plate if they want to meet the end of the year cutoff. It seems strange to me that they would attempt some pieces, as they might not have enough time to complete. I could see where the accountants would not be very happy for them to pour money into R&D on a piece, and then never be able to release it as it missed the date. I guess another concern, that products get rushed out, and not all they could be due to the limited time left on MR license.
That Mara Jade Lightsaber does look attractive at $300, if it was something that appeared in a movie, I would probably be all over it. Since it is EU, I am not sure if I am willing to buy it even at $300, I am wishing it was the Luke Skywalker Lightsaber they are working on at that price.

The FX sabers are such a great value and item. One of the best SW items ever made!
Agreed, the FX sabers are a great value, and awesome to play with. Though I am extremely disappointed we won't be seeing a Sidious or Dooku FX (well, so far as we know) I fully intend to get this new Obi-Wan - it's the best non-Sith hilt design, in my opinion, and I do need another FX saber, one that I can leave the stock blade in.

Doh! Somehow I missed the MOST IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT in the thread I linked - LFL has apporved a Dooku FX saber. If it makes it out before the end of the year I'll be buying two of them.

They sure went quick, I notice they have sold out now. I was thinking about it this morning, but then I decided to step away from the computer. I am happy/sad, as I was not considering it originally, but the price was good. Sad :'( that they have sold out, but happy ;D that they have sold out as now I dont have to torment myself on if I should get it or not. 8)

I cant' wait for the Luke V2!!!!! That just might pull me back into collecting stuff that foes nothing but make me smile. This was an interesting choice for MR but a worthy character to do for sure.
I'm sure some will turn up on eBay if anyone missed out. I like the unique look of this saber.
P.S. Can't compare the two things Bryan. Some things I buy based on value others based on desire to own something very cool. Oh, besides my current cell phone is free and so is the service plan. Very hard to beat a free work cell phone. Especially when calling home from Taiwan, etc. ;) And didn't they cancel the Luke V2?

And the desire to own something very cool will drive iPhone sales...that's the part you're missing (runs, ducks for cover!). Very cool itmes is in the eye of the beholder. For some, it's a completely useless prop, for others... ;)
