Title: Podcast #123 is up!
Post by: Rico on May 27, 2007, 07:05:36 AM
Latest podcast is up.  It's almost all a Skype call recorded yesterday.  If you are not caught up on HEROES and LOST, there are spoilers so you might want to wait to listen.  Otherwise - enjoy the podcast!   :metallica:

Ok, I just got done listening.  Great job you guys.  I really enjoyed it.

Matt, Mark, Warren and Rico-  great discussion - It was really funny because many of you had the same thoughts I did about Heroes, Lost and Spidey 3.

I kind of enjoyed having a smaller group like that because I could keep track of who was talking and it seemed like everybody had some good input.

Thanks Rico for providing great stuff every week.

Bless you guys!

Rico, I'm sorry I missed the Skype call, but it was my 17th wedding anniversary...my gift to my husband was staying off my computer for the entire day!  It's tough to be married to a geek.  LOL!  I did enjoy listening to the call on the podcast.  We made a campfire last night (the benefit of living in the country!) and talked about which of the heroes traits we would want.  Neal picked Hiro's because he would be able to do whatever he wanted whenever he wanted to do it.  The kid in me who dreamed of being an astronaut wants the ability to fly, but the teacher in me wants Hiro's girlfriend's power.  It would be such a blessing to instantly learn whatever I read...it would also make grading papers a snap.  Alas, I'm a human without powers, so I must go grade research projects right now.   :wacko

I think I'll start a thread about what super power you would take for other forum members.  Cool question...

Great job guys.... wish I was there.. you talked about three of my favorite things... Heroes, Lost and Harry Potter.

BTW... Eric Roberts character's name in Heroes is Mr. Thompson

And Cedric Diggary is a Hufflepuff not Gryffindor.

And talk about Fanboy moment...  I plan on going at midnight and picking up the book as well as dressing up in my Hogwarts costume.

Man - can't believe I confused the house thing.  Hey Kenny, weren't there two Gryffindor's in the Triwizard competition?

Nope... Fleur Delacour from Beauxbatons, Viktor Krum from Durmstrang, Cedric Diggory from Hogwarts (Hufflepuff) and
Harry Potter from Hogwarts (Gryffindor)

I must of been confusing that two were from the Hogwarts school.  Thanks for the correction Kenny.

Good show guys!

Believe it or not I have not yet seen a single episode of Heroes yet! Even though you have now spoiled it for me your conversation made me want to check it out. I'm not sure if I should just wait for the DVDs to be released in August or download the episodes and see if I like it. Anyway, your enthusiasm for the show came through and I'll find a way to at least see all of the first season and then decide if I like it enough to keep watching.

On the other hand I don't see the attraction in Lost. I tried to get into the show and it just drags for me. I can't get involved in any of the characters. So, consequently Lost is off my viewing list.
