Anyone besides me watching this show? It's more of a geek show then sci-fi/fantasy (hey, is 24 sci-fi ? :) ). It moved to the ABC Family Channel and will be returning June 11.
I have seen an episode here and there.. now that the first season is on DVD it's on my list of summer TV to watch. Looks good.
loved the first season and was very happy to hear that there was a second.
For anyone interested -- Season 1 ended tonight but there will be marathon this Sunday at 1pm. ABC Family Channel.
Its no Heroes, 24 or Lost but it has its moments -- well suited to the Family Channel.
The Mystery is really good. The Dialogue is not very good, and very cliched. But it is on ABC Family so bad writing is forgivable. The Mystery, and the way it's dealt with is done VERY well. As a huge Lost fan I appreciate Kyle XY.
I was excited to see that Alex Krichek(sp?) from The X-Files is on the show. I won't give any spoilers, but he plays a big role in the show.

Just watched episode 2. Everything is back to normal -- or is it ?? :) Its a good cast but yeah -- a bit o'Brady Bunch dialogue for the 21st century -- sometimes. Like Lost -- you're not sure how this will end but they keep your interest.
LAST WARNING...
In the season opener, Kyle is reunited with Adam Bailen - his Dr. Frankenstein. There is a theory that Einstein's superior intelligence was connected to a late birth. Adam Bailen was the first test of that theory. He was 4 months late and his mother died in childbirth. Adam continued the research and so as, not put anyone at risk, developed an artificial womb. Two subjects are 'grown' -- XX and XY (Kyle) -- with no bellybutton because there is no umbilical cord. In effect, their gestation went well into their teens and so we have Kyle with a vast superior intellectual ability but no knowledge of his potential and the innocense of a newborn. The first episode season 2, Adam explained all this to Kyle and wanted to work with him on developing his abilities further. Unfortunately, the bad guys are typical and they kill Adam so Kyle is once again -- alone. Before he died, Adam disclosed a side effect. The super brain can burn out the physical body -- something Adam found out too late but maybe Kyle will have a better chance. Oh, the lab where XX/XY were being kept is blown up --- XX survived the blast and was wandering around until she is caught. She will be used to find Kyle. There you have it -- I am recalling this from memory so feel free to correct any mistakes. It would be better if you watch all of season 1.
Oh, looks like they do an encore on Fri nights -- yeah Rico, you need another recorder :) Wish more shows would do encore episodes and give everyone two shots at watching.
Hey Guys... well I bought the first season on DVD and watched the first 8 episodes the past few days... I have to say I am really enjoying this series, not that I wouldn't. I wanted to watch it when it first aired but mangaged to miss it and I knew it was an on going serial so I waited for DVD. Anyways I'm looking forward to finishing up the season and seeing if I can get caught up on season two before to many episodes air.
Season 3 begins in January. Marathon of season 2 just before the premiere. 10 BRAND NEW EPISODES - sounds nice to say that. Did Jessie survive ? Find out in Jan.

After his journey with Jessi ends, Kyle returns home and is ready to tell the Trager family the whole truth. I love the show. I can't wait to see the January episode to answer last summer's cliffhanger.
Not too keen on Jessie surviving the bungee jump. She's a little too "freaky" for me but looking forward to return. Did they finish the season or only the 10 episodes ?

This is such a great series and this episode finished the major storyline of this season and starts another. It was good to see the Tragger family back on TV. Can't wait for next weeks episode.

This is the second half of season two.. called 2.5 I think there are ten episodes and they finished them all.. this will finish season two and hopefully they will get picked up for season three
I didn't know that was in question. KYLE XY has to be the top show that channel has. Is there any reason why they wouldn't pick it up for a round three?

Is anyone else watching this fantastic series? I just finished watching the season finale for Season three... this series has been the most consistent when it comes to fun, interesting episodes. There hasn't been a single dull or boring episode. This is like The 4400 on USA.. there isn't a ton of hype or news about both series but they are excellent series. And of course we got a huge cliffhanger this time around.. Can't wait for season four.

Yes I was very happy to see her show up.. it took me awhile to figure out who that was.. she'll always be the outcast from The Breakfast Club. :)
The first movie I remember her was Short Circuit. She's a dead ringer for Jessie's mom.
Feels like forever since we last saw a new Kyle XY.. but not only is BSG starting again in Jan we get a new season on Kyle XY.. SEASON THREE IS GOING TO ROCK!!!!

If this season was a flop it was the writers fault.
I couldn't believe the end of last nights episode teased next week's season finale already. When very little has happened in the story since this season started. Kyle's love triangle and the romances of the siblings made it look like saved by the bell than a show which had much danger and story in the earlier two seasons. All I can say is there better be changes to the writing staff.

Love this series... very sad to see it go. And the cancellation was a surprise and the writers never got to finish the story they started. I hope they at least don't leave us with a cliffhanger that will never be resolved.
From the teaser it looked like that they were ending on the cliffhanger as writers on a show in danger of cancelation often do to try to leverage the network to pick them up.
3 seasons of Kyle XY would have been sufficient if they hadn't had the last season go so slowly, with no danger, and just a teen soap opera.
I agree. First season and a good portion of the 2nd season were great. Third season was like watching a family version of 90210. The character of Jessie brought down the storylines. I was hoping she had the potential to grow as Kyle did. It would have been better had she left with her mother. I still have episodes to catch up online but next weeks finale looks good.
Maybe it's just me, but I really want Kyle with Jessie. Sure she has problems, but I can't stand Amanda. She's way too needy and selfish.
Amanda is needy and selfish??? She is very independent. Jessie is a murderer/wackadoodle - and I mean that in the best possible way ;D Have to wait and see - my guess Kyle will lose them both.

Maybe we're watching the wrong show. Jessie killed someone, but she was all of 10 minutes old and it seemed more protective than murderous. I just don't like Amanda at all. She doesn't seem that independent to me. She has issues and insecurities that she likes to take out on Jessie. Granted, Jessie isn't close to perfect, but she is perfect for Kyle.
It's not that I liked Amanda all that much but that Kyle did. And I wanted to see Kyle get the girl. But it drove me nuts how poor Kyle put up with her mother and did his best to protect her from his dangerous foes only to have her hurt him in the end. And how he didn't crush her by telling her about her boyfriends cheating and she gave him hell over it. And the list goes on. I just wish someone would have cornered her and slapped some since into this girl!

They cliffhanged us !! First, they cancel Middleman and now this !! Next thing will be renaming it to The Parentage Channel
How do you put that much into a show - They built their entire schedule around it, made it one of (if not the) top shows on their channel, only to move it against heroes and WWE to suck out it's ratings, then kill it?
And not just kill it, but without a proper finish. To leave everyone hanging.
I think we are owed a TV movie for tuning in and following it for the past 3 years!
Maybe that's the plan - a few two hour movies. All I ask is - no Jessie. Make her go away...Kyle & Amanda forever!!! ;D
