Great pictures Rico. Taiwan and Chi9na in General have very interesting Cities to photograph, as there seems to always be something interesting happening.
It is a great place to take pictures. Going to try and venture to the ocean coastal city of T'ainan or Kaohsiung this weekend. There are more pics up at the link below. Here's another sample one:

I had a Big Mac last night. I needed a burger after all the rice, etc. I've been eating. Tasted great!
I know when I was in China I ate at McDonalds and KFC a few times, and nice to see familar food. They also had Pizza Huts as well, have you run across any of those in Taiwan Rico?

That's funny, there is a McD's, KFC and Pizza Hut all within a block or two of my hotel. I generally like the local food here, but sometimes you just have to have something other than tofu and rice!

Thanks for sharing the Pictures. Makes me feel like I am on the trip with you. Your Lunches look interesting to say the least. Just eat, dont ask what it is ;)
I have discovered that there are at least 3 or 4 occupations that can make you money in Taiwan. They are: an optometrist (everyone here has glasses), allergist (many here seem to have allergies, etc.), women's underwear maker (every other store is a women's underwear place - how much do they need?), and last a cook (every six feet is someone cooking something - I'm not joking). It's pretty funny. You can walk down a street and only see stores & shops that fit into one of the above areas. I should probably add taxi driver to the list as well. Anyway, having a good time except the sleeping. Who needs sleep anyway? Too much to see and do! More pics up soon! :biggrin

They have something called Taiwan dollars. About 100 Taiwan dollars equals about $3.30 US dollars. Give or take. I'll try and take some pics of it. Picture taking has slowed up in the last few days but I have bout 5 new ones up from yesterday.
Dad, we gotta work on your picture taking poses.
The odd poses are mainly because I set the camera timer and ran to some spot to have camera take the shot. Traveling alone is not the best on getting your picture taken!
Your Pictures of the Market were great, with all the different types of foods they sell. Did you check out that Toy Shop you took a picture of? The toys shops in Asia are very different to the ones in North America.
I looked around in the shop. Pretty neat stuff if you are into Anime, robots, etc.
