I have a question for you amazing mp3 users.
I just ordered an 30 gig video ipod for my wife. Mother's day is fast approaching and my question is this...
Can I use her ipod with my computer when I already have mine set up with Itunes on it. Or will I have to find another computer for her's to sync with? Can both of them exist at the same time on the same machine? And if they can are they forced to have the same content or not?
This seems to be a space time continuim question. :)
Let me know what you know.
Love,
Rick M
You can have multiple iPods on the same machine. Just set up itunes to allow you to manually manage your music/videos, etc, while the iPod is plugged in. You should be able to switch them out and not worry about having to have the same info on both.
That's good to know, because I'm getting my wife a 30 gig for her Birthday.
I don't use the synch feature. I manage my files manually. I think that's the only way to have multiple iPods using the same iTunes.
Here is a link about using two ipods and one iTunes http://ipod.about.com/od/introductiontotheipod/ht/mult_ipods.htm
Yes you can use one computer for 2 ipods (or 3 i think) but I am not sure if you can use it at the same time? also you can download the same songs on it or not (if you go to settings you can change which playlists the ipod(s) can upload :)
yeah it should work! and good job! Now she won't wanna ground me, just to take my iPod! haha Jk...
