Character History
Johnny grew up in the hot tropical environment of Nicaragua which he never did like. He worked hard physically and academically to enter Starfleet Academy and get out of equatorial Earth.
Growing up, Johnny's parents thaught him to love Earth and the ideals of the Federation which he took to heart. He also became interested in World War II historical battles. He found himself amazed by the hardiness and determination of the general infantryman. Because of this, he chose to specialize as a security/infantry officer at the Academy. Any Klingon would love to battle with (or against) this contemporary human warrior.
This warrior does have his soft side though. Johnny likes children a lot. He was heart-broken when his Academy sweetheart dropped out and left Earth only telling him that she was going "to find out why I live." He hasn't seen her since and doesn't know her whereabouts. He's very protective of his younger sister and doesn't want "young punks messing with her head."
