Here is your first photo of the Silver Surfer, thanks to USA Today, which had this to say about the slippery one:
With computer-generated imagery techniques similar to those used to create Gollum in The Lord of the Rings, the slippery Surfer, voiced by Doug Jones, “will look somewhere between gun metal and fluid metallics so you can see the body motion, the breathing, the muscle tone, the mood,†says Marvel Studios CEO Avi Arad.
The Surfer’s mood is key to the story. After striking a deal with the evil Galactus to save his planet, the once-human Surfer wreaks havoc throughout the cosmos. “He is a highly emotional being, trapped inside fluid metal,†Arad says.
Those who go to see Ben Stiller’s “Night at the Museum†this holiday weekend will be treated to the first official trailer of the Fantastic Four’s new film that will feature the Silver Surfer.

I'd say that "average" is a generous review of the first film, but I'm still hopeful about Rise of the Silver Surfer. I don't know why, since it's the same creative team. I guess I just love the concept enough to still have faith that it can work onscreen.
The first film was fun, but they took a lot of liberty's with the FF story and origin. I think they are aiming to be a bit more serious this time - hopefully.
I thought the first movie was great.. they had to establish the characters and there relationship. With the second movie they can jump right into the story and action. I'm really looking forward to it.
The Offical site has just been launched.. not much there yet but here's the link. http://www.fantasticfourmovie.com/

Nahh,...that's just dramatic effect for the trailer. Looking real good!
Wow is an understantment.. that trailer looked amazing...
:jawdrop Its looking like a good summer for the blockbuster
That does look very good, certainly a cliffhanger of a trailer.
Looks good.
Wow, if the first movie wasn't such a stinker I'd have to say I am really looking forward to this movie. But unfortunately FF1 was terrible, almost unwatchable in my opinion. That trailer is freaking awesome though. I can only shudder to think how this movie is going to trash the whole Galactus story. Maybe I'm wrong, and FF2 will redeem the franchise. Hope so.
When “Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer†hits movie theaters later this year, audiences will hear a familiar voice for the Silver Surfer. Laurence Fishburne will provide the voice of the Surfer for the upcoming summer blockbuster.
Fishburn’s casting puts to rest rumors that Doug Jones, who provided the character movements for the Surfer, might do the voice-over work.
This has happened to Jones before. In “Hellboy†Jones performed the character movements for Abe Sapien, with the voice-over work eventually going to an uncredited David Hyde Pierce.
Rumors are also swirling that Galactus will appear in the upcoming “Fantastic Four†installment.
“Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer†opens in June 2007.
I just read an early review of the FF2 novelization, and so far what I've read does not make me feel like rushing out and buying tickets for this film.

Giant dust storm :(
Sometimes it's good not knowing the story. I enjoyed the first Fantastic Four and I'm looking forward to the second movie. I don't know the FF story too well so unlike many of my friends I enjoy the movie version of the FF story.

Maybe if they re-stylized him a bit.....no problem, but completely changing him....hopefully this not true.
Giant dust storm?
The only thing crazier then that is how he actually looks.
