Title: James Horner - RIP
Post by: Rendal on June 23, 2015, 02:44:09 PM
Just saw the news about James Horner being involved in a fatal plane crash.  Only 61, way too young, and such a loss to the musical and sci-fi/fantasy musical world.

OMG - right up there with John Williams.  One of my favorite movie composers.   Sad news.

He composed so much great music for us himself, and so much was based from his work as well.

! No longer available (http://www.youtube.com/watch?t=617&v=wEb_HEn6wBk#)

You can see him crying at a live performance of Titanic at about 9:20. He really wrote emotional music, John Williams got me into movie music but most of my favorite scores are Horner's. He was an amzing talent.

We have many of his Soundtracks and just some tracks from iTunes as well. I will miss hearing any new music from this great composer.
