Roland Emmerich and Dean Devlin are officially returning to the world of Stargate with a "re-imagined" trilogy of films.  :tealc

Yeah, I think this was first reported awhile back.  I'm up for more "Stargate" even though I much preferred the TV series stuff over the initial movie.

I liked the idea of the first movie, but hated to see the 'crew' they sent through the gate.  After all, this is a first encounter, and they send through a band of ill disciplined misfits..

If you are going on what might be a one way trip, are you really going to send your best and brightest for a bit of recon?

Certainly not going to send the dregs.  First impressions are tough to undo.  :)  Although the Kurt Russel character made sense (just in case).
