We just had some fun with a telemarketer scammer - who claimed I had a virus on my Windows Operating System computer. I pretended that I was greatly alarmed by this news, and said I would get my computer, and while I did so, my kids would play the piano for his entertainment.
They played atrociously on purpose, just pounding on keys. The fellow claimed he was from Florida. After a few moments, he was trying to walk me through checking the computer. I asked him 'how do I turn on the computer?' - and then 'What Start button? I only see a C:\ prompt!'. He hung up after that.
The kids were roaring with laughter in the background - and we had a great time. I get one of these calls every month or so - and we look forward to them now. :)
LOL! Awesome!
You're smart enough to outwit these morons but unfortunately many people are not. I helped an older couple lock down their computer after they got a similar call and gave the person remote access. They installed all kinds of crap on it.

Yes I can see how someone could fall for this scam - especially someone older.
Yeah, we get calls into work regularly asking about these calls and a few visits to the store after they fell for it.
