Title: "Star Wars" - despecialized editions
Post by: Rico on December 31, 2013, 07:06:35 AM
This got posted on Facebook related to the order to watch the 6 SW films.  But the real cool thing I learned for the first time was about a fan named Harmy and the "Despecialized editions" of the original trilogy he has pieced together to recreate the original first theatrical versions of all three films.  I just got "A New Hope" downloaded and it's pretty darn great!  Go to the links below to learn more.

Hmmm...what do you think of watching the movies 4, 5, 2, 3, 6? It's not a bad order, and I can't think of any real reason that Episode 1 HAS to be included. You learn almost nothing new from it.

I've heard people talk about that order before, but I really don't get this whole viewing order thing.  Mainly because I've never really watched more than one at a time (in one day).

I've done it over a couple days, but I always go 1-6, never really put more thought into it than that.

I always go in order 1-6 also if I plan on watching them over a few days which I have done once in a blue moon. I don't have the Blu-Rays yet but still enjoy them on DVD.
