Are you using Pinterest? I should preface this by saying that Pinterest isn't just for chicks, as several of my guy friends (husband included) have indicated. I have several dudes following me on Pinterest, some of them are even macho. ::) I recommend Pinterest.com for creatives who like surfing the net for inspiration and tutorials. Creatives as in: model and prop makers, writers, studio artists, graphic designers, interior designers, foodies, cosplayers, costumers, makeup artists, etc.
It can also be a very geeky place—Angela, Kasey, Stephanie and "Sith Jen" share cosplay boards with me. We plan our costuming themes for Renfest and Austin Comic Con there. Right now we have a board devoted to female Avengers cosplay. Sith Jen is going to make a Maria Hill costume for me next year. She's going as Black Widow again. We'l be a duo again! I started a Mass Effect board too; I'm either going to be Fem Shep or Ashely at con in 2014. Sith Jen and I will be making armor and using LED lights and everything. It will be EPIC.
It's fun to see how other people have cosplayed characters. We even pinned a few of our TOS costumes on our TOS board and I've started a TNG board for the year we finally cosplay that show.
Last but not least, I have an Anomaly Podcast board where Angela and crew post things that are related to our show (pictures of cosplayers, things we want to buy, geeky art, links to our shows)...
