I was going to say "how could that be his ancestor's store...it's French.", then I thought about it a second.

Patrick Stewart played the most English Frenchman I've ever seen :)

For all that he's moved on and done other things since, he has a pretty good sense of humour regarding his past roles.

Funny thing is - I see him and still think of him being in the old series 'I, Claudius' - which is where I first saw him act.  He was wearing a toupe for that role.
