The original series was produced in the UK in the 1970's

Interesting that they are reviving this British classic.

I hope they do it justice. I used to love this as a kid, as much for the technology as for the mental powers.

Oh great, another remake of a classic TV series. (Yes I say that with pure sarcasm) In fact this will be the third version, we had the 70's version, then the 90's and in the 2000's there was a audio version.

They actually showed in in the states in the 70's too. This update seems exciting enough.

Pilot episode was pretty cool. Very mutant, X-Men feel to the show.  Definitely will keep watching.

I cannot commit to another hour long show, just too much going on right now.  Arrow, Nashville, American Horror Story, Boardwalk Empire, Agents of Shield, Sons of Anarchy, and Sleepy Hollow, not to mention all the half hour shows I'm also watching.  I've been up until 1am every night just keeping up!  Unless you say this is really really good Rico, I'm going to pass.

I thought it was pretty good.  It's interesting and it held my attention... I already like the characters... so this should be interesting to say the least.

I know how you feel Joby.  By the weekend my TIVO has 3-4 shows that I need to catch up on.  You could do what I do and try a show out for 3 episodes and then decide.  I've been doing that the last few years.  I made some tough choices that way, but if after 3 episodes a new show doesn't have me hooked I drop it.

It was pretty good and yeah,  a very X-Men feel to it. You could actually tell they were really struggling NOT to use the word "Mutant" lol.

I'll keep watching to see how it pans out.

l've liked your strategy ever since you first mentioned it Rico, I followed it for Revolution and after three eps decided it wasn't for me.  Although I gave up on the new show The Blacklist after only one episode lol.  I love James Spader but it's too much like Hannibal for my taste and that show is SO much better than almost anything on TV right now.  Can't wait for the next season of that.  And Walking Dead starts soon! And Bates Motel!  Ugh I'll be up late until summer!

The thing I like about watching 3 episodes and deciding is it gives me a chance to get a feel for a series and then I have a fixed point to make my decision.  I used to just keep watching stuff that didn't really interest me a lot since I started it.  The plus side is we know all these shows will end up on Netflix, etc. at some point too.  The new, Golden Age of TV is here!  Too much to watch - too little time.

Not sure if I'm going to get into this or not. There is another CW series starting soon that I do want to watch called 'The 100'. Like somebody said earlier just too much to watch.

This started out over here just last week and I managed to catch the first episode by chance. (I think I found it On Demand).

It was certainly enough to grab the attention so I'll watch the next few. It does seem quite a way from the 1970s outing I remember from childhood so my expectations will have to be a little differenbt for this one.

(The old show was a lot more spooky and haunting than this appears to be although that could simply have been my childhood perceptions).

I'm enjoying this new series a fair amount but I'm not sure the ratings will hold for another year.  Interesting premise and characters so far.  Hope it continues.

Has this been cancelled?

The series hasn't over here yet but I've seen at least one reference to cancellation on the internet.

Yep, cancelled recently. Season wrapped last week. I enjoyed it a lot and wish they could have gotten at least one more year.

Shame. We still have a couple to go and I was hoping this was going to progress for another year.

Oh well :(
