This week on the podcast I covered genre TV & movies from 2002 (and there were a lot of them). I also talk a bit about the latest Trek movie trailer and more. Enjoy the podcast everyone!

Great show Rico! Your year in review shows could have their own tag-line... Year 2002 "When sci-fi hit it's stride".
This was a good year indeed with Enterprise on UPN. The crew were still explorers, just ankle deep in space and I was liking the earlier versions of the Andorians, Vulcans and Klingons who I believe in this time were still sharpening their teeth. :klingon
Looking foward to this. Should be alot of fun.
Love these "year in review" casts....they always give me good ideas for rewatches and occasionally a first time watch for something cool I missed. Looking forward to this one!
Thanks guys. I know I didn't include a few of the other bigger films from 2002, but there is only so much I can cover in a single podcast. I try to hit the highlights.
Thanks Rico, really enjoyed it as usual.
Another fun year in review show. I always like these. You mentioned the Justice League animated show and it is supposed to start on Netflix March 30. They will also be starting Justice League Unlimited. Batman the Brave and the Bold also begins March 30 with Astonishing X-Men starting on 4-1. Sorry got off topic.
Looking foward to the next year in review.
I just listen to the podcast last night, great podcast Rico. You covered quite a lot. There was so much episodic TV back then it was hard to chose from. There is one show that I want to meaton here that wasn't covered. the Fox TV show called John Doe, it was a fave of mine. I was about a man who had no memory of who he was or where he came from but when asked he could tell you anything. it was on Friday night along with firefly. However it lasted a full season but wasn't renewed.
Great show Rico, really enjoyed it...some big franchises got their start in 2002, like the Bourne Identity and the XXX franchise. But the movie I've seen the most times that was released in 2002 may come as a surprise to some of you...Scooby Doo. My sons Zachary and Ethan have watched that movie probably 100+ times, and I've had to sit through it about that many as well.
Some great books released in 02 as well...Coraline by Neil Gaiman which made for a wonderful film. The Secret Life of Bees is one of my wife's favorites. And the Lovely Bones, while a mis-step perhaps for Peter Jackson was still quite an engaging read.
In the world of comics, nothing stands out more than the premiere of the fantastic series by Brian K Vaughn, Y-the Last Man. This apocalyptic vision asks the question what would the world be like if every man on the planet suddenly dropped dead without warning...every man but one. It was a great series and well worth reading.
