Title: Diamond Bird of Prey and Enterprise B
Post by: jedijeff on February 09, 2013, 01:21:55 PM
I was at the mall today and picked up these two ships. I am pretty happy with them, both have lots of lights and sounds. I was only going to get the Bird of Prey, but once I was holding the Enterprise B, had to get that one as well. Have to work a bit on the Bird of Prey as one of the wings is stuck, but besides that, looks great.

Those look terrific Jeff!  The lighting really makes them look awesome!

Very cool Jeff! I wanted to get these and was going to pre-order but I am tight on space to display these and already have all the Enterprise AA ships. I wish instead of the B they had done the Excelsior. I dig the Bird of Prey although it's not my favorite Klingon ship, this one is cool.

Just picked up the BOP on Amazon. :)

That is cool you got the BOP, I think you are going to like it. I think they did a great job with detailing it, but I agree, there would have been other Klingon ships I would have wanted first, but none the less, happy with this. I was not originally planning on getting the B, but after seeing it in the store and all the lights when lit up, I just could not hold myself back. Also they will be coming out with a re release of the E, and Also a 3rd release of the Enterprise from TWOK which I don't have, so I figured I might as well . After a dry spell with ships, DST/AA is really going all out with a bunch of ships, as they also re released NCC 1701 D and the All Good Things version.

This thing is great! Love all the lights and sounds. It's a really nice size and very well detailed, weathered, and painted.  :klingon

Space for whales aboard that ship?  :)

Personally, these ships will always be the small scale as portrayed in ST III and IV. In TNG, DS9, the Bird of Prey models scale was all over the map, from tiny to HUGE! I can recall that one image in ST III when the BOP is parked in front of the Enterprise and it looks too big relative to what the BOUNTY looked like on the ground in ST IV. I know, huge per peeve of mine. :)

I think the reissue Enterprise E is coming out soon, if not already out. Cool you got your BOP Bryan.

I went to the Mall today and picked up the Enterprise E, which was a reissue from a few years back.  Filling in holes in my Star Ship Collection up next is the reissue of the Refit which should hopefully becoming soon.

A nice model!  :)  It's a shame we didn't get to see more of the ship on screen.  :(

Went to the Mall and Picked up the NCC-1701 Refit from The Wrath of Khan. Pretty happy to get this as have been waiting on it for awhile. Little disappointed with the Painting on the deflector dish as doesn't look good lit up, and was hoping for a few more lights. Also they shipped it with the old Style Stand which I never cared for as they break way to easy. But the Sounds are great, and has the classic Khannnnnnnn. :) I should be done with Ships for awhile now until Diamond comes out with more. Would not mind if they re-released an NCC-1701 A, even though it is essentially the same ship, would be nice to have.

Of all the things people collect, I think it's the ships I could most easily fall for if finances permitted.

In another life I'd have a shelf of those. Sadly, not in this one. That does look good even if the stand does look a little weird.

Thanks for the words on the Interceptor. I made a ton of Mistakes on it, so it is sort of pushed to the back. If I can get myself moving I should have some more Models done. Just waiting for the snow to go away so I clean out my Garage a bit so I have a corner where I can do some rattle can work.
