so cool Bryan!
Awesome! you've got one of the good ones Bry. Enjoy!!
Have a great time, and post some pics.
What a terrific, fun show! He almost filled a pretty good sized theater, including two balconies. The show was a solid 1 hour, 45min long as well and it never dragged. Shatner was charming, hysterical, poignant, emotional, self deprecating, and for seemingly very honest. He discusses is his life through fun and sometimes moving anecdotes in that way only the Shat can. He was very animated and even ended with a review of his "musical" career and a "song". People really enjoyed the show as did I. I think this is a great way to see him, based on some to the convention video I have seen of him he is much more connected tot he audience and material in this show.
The post show meet and greet was a brief opportunity to have him sign the show poster only and have a picture taken with him. When I had my turn, he looked at me and asked how I was and I have to admit, it was kind of magical to look at him taloking to me after all these years of watching him talk on the big and small screen. I told him how much I enjoyed the show as well his STAR TREK documentary "The Captains". He thanked me and I added a comment about Avery Brooks being so out there and he he looked at me and smiled and agreed. And that was it. Well worth a chance to meet one of my childhood hero's.
Here are some pics of the stage and the auditorium. I refrained from taking pics during the show, which was not allowed. I'll post my pic with him once I get it from the company that was there doing the photography.
So cool!
Oh, that is awesome Bryan! I'm so glad you got to see him. What a great present from your wife!
Sounds awesome Bryan and sounds much better than some of the con appearances I've seen him do.
Wow - I just checked and he is going to be up at East Lansing in Michigan at MSU this Thursday night! Very tempting!
That sounds like it was a well bought birthday present. Can you post the pic of you and him?

Go! It's really a nice show. The meet and great is awesome if you have never met him or had him sign something but those tickets are $150, but it's pretty controlled and I doubt he would stop do do an audio recording.
Or you could see if you can use your media credentials to get a quick interview!
Oh that's an idea! I can picutre it, they can have you up right after ET and Access Hollywood :)
Me and the Shat!
Wow - that's an awesome pic Bryan!
I know, I so lucked out he looked up and smiled at the right time! Come to think of it, you should go to the show and get the VIP pass. It really was special for guys like us. :thumbsup
Great pic!
Man, he must be good at signing without actually looking at the poster! Many years of experience :)
Shat just had to be thinking something like this:

Gah how did I miss that typo?!? Sorry Bry, you get the idea. Not funny enough to fix.
Shatner is one of my favorites and I have never got to meet him but it is awesome that you got that chance. Cool pic also.

yeah, I always imagined he was taller for some reason. Maybe just bigger then life. :)
Shatner is on his way to East Lansing, Rico! I tweeted to him i was trying to get you to go to the show. He replied, as my Twitter name is JediDunn, "A Jedi recomends Starfleet? #aNEWNewHope! LOL! I wrote back and told him "You are way cooler then Luke or Han #CatainKirkRocks. :)
You gotta go!
That's pretty funny. I always wonder if it's really the celeb on the other end of Twitter for famous people. Just not going to be able to swing it to go tonight. I did look into it, but the VIP thing seemed to be sold out. I've seen him at cons quite a few times. Actually one of the best times I saw him was back in the 90's at the 25th Anniversary tour show he was doing with Nimoy. Those two guys just chatting, sharing stories, taking questions. It was obvious they were good friends.
