Jamie Alexander talks a little about the film. I had no idea Zach Levi (aka 'Chuck') took over the Fandral role for this movie.

You can see Zachary Levi in this pic below on set (he is in the upper left corner area).
I really liked Levi in Chuck. Looking foward to seeing him in this. I'll also admit I don't think I remember the Fandral character so I'll have to go check out the imbd page and see who it was.
Poster. Trailer coming very soon.
not the best looking video.. but it's still pretty awesome.. a first look at Thor 2

I FINALLY got around to watching Thor (Thank you netflix) and was surprised at how much I loved it. Damn, that's a friggin awesome movie! :thumbsup :thumbsup Why did it take me so long?! Now I'm really pumped for the sequel. Also, I made the mistake of seeing Avengers BEFORE watching captain america and thor (I know, so very silly of me). I didn't like Avengers but now I have a much improved perspective and want to see it again...I think I'll end up completely reversing my stance on it. I'm now seeing and appreciating the tight weave between these new marvel movies.
"Didn't like Avengers"??? I think I would have enjoyed that movie even if there hadn't been all the others before it. I do think though that "The Avengers" works better because of seeing the other films first.
Have you seen the Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk movies yet, Praxis?
Also, this new Thor does look really good. November isn't to far away.

Yeah, seen those!
The reason I didn't like the Avengers was because I didn't feel there was any time to get attached to those characters, especially Thor and Captain America. It just seemed action action action action and I was still trying to play catchup. But now I've seen the Thor and Cap movies and care about those characters (and also really appreciate the background in Thor with Hawkeye and Agent Coulson). And the emotional impact that events from Avengers have left on Iron Man in his latest movie is great stuff. So I think I'd really have fun watching Avengers this time. :)
Yeah, you really need to watch the Marvel films as they come out. Avengers was mainly aimed at those that had seen the previous films.

I've learned my lesson. From now on I'm getting to the theater right away. :)
I really liked the first Thor movie and really looking forward to this one as well.
My mother picked up Iron Man 1 and 2 and really loved them and asked me about seeing 3 last week when I went for a visit, but I knew she hadn't seen Avengers yet. So I told her she needed to see Captain America and Thor first, then Avengers. She went found both at the library. She loved both of those and is trying to get her hands on Avengers now. I've never seen her so excited about the more geek movies like these. It's awesome for somebody like her who really isn't usually into the more genre media these films really are getting so much love from people like that.
So anyway though I rewatched Cap and Thor for the first time since seeing them in theaters. There was a lot I forgot about both. Thor especially. Though I think Thor is the weakest of the Marvel films, (except for Iron Man 2, and by that I mean I love them all lots, but those 2 just aren't quite as awesome as the others to me) but it's got a lot to it that really builds up that Marvel world.
The new films looks like it's really gonna take us into the world of Asgard and the other realms. Now that we have seen the set up for the characters and the Thor universe from the first one I'm really excited to see some more of the universe in the new film. I think it has the potential of being such a good movie and a great deal stronger than the first one (which again I loved quite a bit). I loved Thor's team, which we saw so little of in the first and expecting more of them in the second, and also really excited to see Zachary Levi step into that group too.
I really liked Thor's team as well. And Idris Elba's character was BAD ASS.

I see old Loki popped up at comic-con. Poor Tom can hardly keep a straight face especially saying the word Quim.

Saw "Thor: The Dark World" today in Imax/3D. Cool movie. Great to see the whole cast back in action. A nice mix of action, serious stuff and some humor too. Also saw the 5 minutes of the new Cap movie which looks fantastic too. Make sure to stay until the VERY end of all the credits - it's worth it!
Laurie and I saw this today and really enjoyed it. Well written even if the acting was not so good at times.
Got to see the film today! Thought it was fantastic! I felt like it had the feel of the first one, being kind of corny and silly, but also really took itself seriously enough that it wasn't forced and really felt like such a solid film. So cool getting to see more off Earth. All these Marvel Studio movies make me leave just wanting to see next one. Marvel is just doing so well with their movie franchise. Also I'll spoil a little, there is a Thor shirtless scene and that has also inspired me, feeling the need to do a crazy upperbody working out tomorrow!
By the way...
Loki's death, who didn't see what followed coming, but so awesome even though so predictable! Give the fans what they want and so fitting for the character! Can't wait for more Thor!!
I really enjoyed this movie a lot. I like as mentioned that a good part of it happened elsewhere. It had a real Sci-Fi feel to it, which I liked a lot as it feels a bit different then the other Marvel movies.

Makes me wonder how different Guardians of the Galaxy will be as well when that comes out. Marvel is just doing amazing making creative and awesome new movies, that even knowing virtually nothing about Guardians I'm still pretty excited to see it.
I've been reading the "Guardians of the Galaxy" comic and enjoying it. The comic has a very "Star Wars" swashbuckling, space fantasy feel to it. Some fun humor and cool adventure. I think it will be a lot of fun to watch on screen.
So I've been told. Sounds like lots of excitement and fun. Well I'm excited for just about anything Marvel these days! And they just continue to get better!!
I went to this last weekend with my wife and mom and we all enjoyed it but I don't think it was as good as the first one. It is still very good though. I really liked the cameo and all the Asgard stuff which made it so different from the other Marvel movies. And the twist at the end of the movie I didn't see coming. Really looking forward to the future Marvel movies and I'm very excited about the new Captain America which comes out the day before my birthday! I know where I'm going for my birthday!
Go see Thor and like Rico said stay till the very end of the credits. Most of the people where I was left so they missed a really cool part.
