So it's Crimson Tide meets Lost?!

Bryan, not sure if it's going to be mysterious/sci-fi type like Lost, but from what I can make out, more like Crimson Tide meets Man Without A Country (or something)

So, what did you all think of the pilot episode?

I liked it.  Now, for some reason I was able to suspend belief on the parts that later were like... what?  But I liked it for some reason.  Kind of excited to see where it goes from here.

Man, I really liked this first episode of this show.  It has suspense, good actors, interesting ideas, cool locations and visuals - this is a show I will keep watching.  :)

This show was a great watch. There's enough plot threads dangling to keep it going for a while I think. Looking forward to see where it goes.

Yeah, I agree.  It had a certain vibe that was different than other TV shows which is a very good thing.  Here's a trailer to hook everyone that didn't see the first episode yet.

I was hoping to watch this on Hulu but couldn't find it. I'll have to try and watch it on ABC's website.

Episode 2 is also on Hulu too if you need to catch up.  I'm liking the characters quite a bit still and the story is getting more interesting after seeing episode two.  Still enjoying this series quite a bit so far.

Episode 2 gave us some good character moments and is setting up some intrigue. Good show, hope it gets some ratings.

I currently watch the show and seen the first two episodes allready.  It looks really cool so far.  I have it set to record allready.  I am also following them on twitter as well.  I think it will be a hit series.

This says they are going t give it an ending and not leave folks hanging. I wish they had done that for Alcatraz.

Well, I for one am glad Last Resort is going. With the exception of the pilot and the concept, it really never caught my attention - they relied too much on lazy hack standard writing.

sad to see it go, it was unique and I really enjoyed the main actor.  MUCH better than Revolution! oh well.  I think it's cool that we get a resolve.

Not really Rick, well at least in my opinion. Agreed, the lead actor is awesome but not really a very unique show to be honest, and everyone talks about how much better is was than Revolution because Revolution is just so unbelievable but really? You have this fictional Nuclear sub that's under attack by their own country, so they flee to a remote island, FIRE a nuke at the U.S., they're willing to fire upon their own country's war ships, but they're unwilling to take out a pissant little warlord to ensure the success/safety of their "just" cause? Uh...I think the lights going out is a little more believable! :) Don't get me wrong, I thought Last Resort had a great premise, great promise but instead of being bold and creative with the writing, they decided to go with the same old boring weekly situational drama stuff...of course, just MY opinion.

Rick I'm with you - this show is better than "Revolution."  There I said it!  It's better written and better acted.  Plus the story actually advances.  (Ok, most of all that was just to get Al going today - hehe).

Now, my more real comments.  The simple answer for me is I enjoy this series more than "Revolution."  I've always enjoyed people who stand up for a cause and doing the right thing.

P.S.  I'm also going to blame the time slot a little on the trouble for "Last Resort."  Thursday night at 8pm is a very rough time slot.

Rico...I must admit that Revolution is a lot slower paced than I had hoped, AND the Charlie character has but one expression: crinkle brow. But I still like it and will stick with it. And really? Get me going today? It's MONDAY...what more do I need to be me going! :) HOW I HATE MONDAYS!!

Just playing around Al.  :)

I actually might come back to "Revolution" at some point.  It just wasn't really appealing to me.

As far as "Last Resort", long time TV guide columnist Matt Roush has this to say in response to a question he received.  I've followed Matt for awhile and like the way he thinks and writes:

Send questions and comments to askmatt@tvguidemagazine.com and follow me on Twitter!
Question: Fellow Hoosier here. Love your column. I don't have a question really, but wanted to express my displeasure in the fact that ABC has canceled Last Resort and 666 Park Avenue. I was excited about both of these shows not only for the story lines but for the cast. I'm becoming rather weary of investing time in a show only to have it canceled. Any hope either series will be picked up by another network? OK, so maybe I had a question after all. - Bonnie
Matt Roush: Not an uncommon question, fellow Hoosier, but one with a standard answer: Almost never does a canceled series, especially this early in a show's run, get rescued by another network. Personally, I'm the most disappointed that ABC gave up this quickly on Last Resort, without trying it in a later or less competitive time period. (Sony, the studio that produces Resort, is well known for aggressively trying to keep its shows alive despite the odds, and it has been reported they're still holding open the options on the show's stars, but I wouldn't get my hopes up.) Resort was always a weird fit on this network, but like so many other ABC experiments - I still think fondly of last midseason's The River - I'm glad they at least took the swing. Best for now to think of these shows as a 13-episode miniseries, and enjoy them while they last. We frequently debate in this column whether it's a waste of time to watch a show with a questionable or (in cases like this) no future, and I always come out on the side of watching what interests you for as long as you can. I know I'll stay on board with Last Resort to the end. (I confess I gave up on 666 shortly after the Halloween episode; it just didn't spook me enough or make me care enough about the characters. In a world where The Walking Dead pushes the envelope for true character-driven horror, this felt awfully timid and thin. Still, for those who like it, why bail now?)

No worries Rico, I know :) Lord knows I've had MY share of fun on the forums! :) This writer does have a very valid point, and even though we all love to debate our favorite shows, and defend them from time to time, at the end of the day it's what we ENJOY watching that counts. If you don't like a show I like for whatever reasons you have, that's awesome! And for the record, I agree that Resort was set up to fail from day one. C'mon! Put it up against The Big Bang Theory? REALLY??

Just read that the last episode will give us some closure for the series.  I just watched the most recent episode called "Nuke it Out" and it was really good.  Anyway, at least they found out in time to give us some type of series ending when the last episode airs down the road.  Still six more episodes to be aired.

Well, I finished watching the last episode of the series and we did get an ending.  Kind of a compressed, rushed ending but at least they closed things up for us.  I do wonder if how the show ended is the way it would have went if it got a longer run?  From what happens in the last episode, I think they changed some stuff.  I really did enjoy the series, the acting and the story for this show.  But I'm glad I got 13 episodes to enjoy.

yes, I enjoyed it to and will miss it.  I felt like it was rushed at the end too, but what could they do?

I still have the last ep of last resort recorded.  I hope to see the final ep tomorrow or latter.  it was a good show and I did enjoy it.  It does remind me of Jericho the TV series somewhat.  BTW one of the cast members of that show was a character in last resort.
