I listened this morning while I was getting it uploaded and setup. Great work. You guys are making me want to go back and watch the early Doctor Who now.
YEAH, I'm now going to start up. The questions and answer format is really great. I'm learning tons. AWESOME PODCAST!
That's cool, Rick. You should probably start with the 2005 series. That's what I did and then I explored further back.
Well worth a listen and I'm broadly in agreement with Meds on most of it (which pleases me for some reason). Obviously it wasn't all news to me ;) but I still learned some things.
Hey, thanks! That was sorta my goal, because I'm sure a ton of people aren't up on the history of the show. Can't thank Meds enough for doing t with me!
Awesome thanks for teh comment Mike :) I think you and Rico are the only ones who listened lol
Terrific show, lads! And get your hands off my nacelles! :)
ha ha cheers Bry, i hoped you would give a big thumbs up at that comment :)
You know what's a real kudos for you guys is that I really enjoyed the show because I am not a Dr. Who fan or watcher. I saw some of the Tom Baker stuff back in the '70's but haven't gotten on this bandwagon. And yet I really enjoyed the format you guys did here with the Q&A, I learned a lot as I had a lot to learn. Still no huge desire to watch it but I feel more knowledgeable about it now. Cheers!
Well that's a super compliment thanks Bry. The whole format and clips were all Chris's work. Great fun (I'm amazed he kept the Bruce Willis but in lol)

what am I chopped liver? LOL! :)
I listened today, great chat gentlemen. Like Bryan, I'm not a big Who fan myself and got a lot of good info from the show.
Great podcast, Chris and Rick! I've been a fan of Doctor Who since the mid seventies. I agree with a lot of what Meds said. There was Doctor Who before 2005. I enjoyed every minute of the podcast. I'm looking forward watching Jon Pertwee this weekend on PBS.

There you go Rick, you get a thanks even when you are not in the podcast ;)
Pertwee is ace, look out for the facial comedy moments.
Thanks for the comments everyone :)
looking forward to it. I I've struggled to keep up with podcasts lately :(
I watched a lot if Doctor Who back in the day but recently re watched mist of the old series and really enjoyed it. I am one of those that enjoy the classic show a little more than the modern one actually.
There were Doctors after Tom baker? On a serious note, I was highly upset when the fourth doctor regenerated. For a long time I thought it was a huge step backwards.
It's kinda true that your first Doctor is usually YOUR Doctor.

Sorry about that Meds. I was on my second pint when I posted that. It's good to hear from others that appreciate classic Doctor Who. Once again, I apologize. Now it's time for another pint.
Good man, i raise my pint glass to you. :)
I just listen to the podcast last night. This was great podcast meds and chis. I have been a fan on the series since I saw the five doctors in 1983. Later on it came on the local public TV stations starting in Jan of 1984, this was the tom baker era that the station first started showing. they brocasted every Saturday night at 10p.m. and I looked forward to it every week. I suppose you could say I'm more old school than the new one, but I have enjoyed the newer version as well.
Thanks for the comment mate. Five Doctors is always a favorite of mine.
Enjoyed your Q & A podcast guys. I learned a few things and most of my Doctor Who viewing has been since 2005. Right now though I can't watch it when it airs on the BBC America. I'll wait till it hits netflix. You guys also talked about the older shows and I tried watching one with I think it was John Petwee and I just couldn't get into it. I'm going to try some Baker ones next. I found them on netflix. They have a ton of the old Doctor Who's on there.
Yeah, there's more than a few Bakers on there. Pyramids of Mars is pretty good.
Guys due to an NFL obsession I'm way behind in my podcast listening but I'm listening to the Doctor Who Q&A and I have to say great job guys, really enjoying the information, the format and your views.

I'm with you Meds, the Return of Bruno was a good album
Got to love that LP, got it out the other day and had a listen. So much better than Die Hard 5 lol
