Well I went and invested in a new lens for my camera. I've been wanting to up my professionalism and the rumor is that the better the lens the better the picture.. so I got a Canon EFS 18-135mm
Here are some of the pics that I took with it so far:
Here are a few more:

Rick, are you using a filter in that last image? If so, which one?
Beautiful!
no filters on this.
Here is a shot that I just shot an hour ago or so.
Great color in those shots. Looks like a super lens!
Contrast and color are terrific!

Rick - I think the EFS 18-135 is a great lens and a fine choice. What body are you using it on? You don't know this but selling cameras is part of my job. I have always been impressed with that lens but I have only ever used it on a Canon 60D. We have taken test photos of change and stuff out of our pockets and the detail that lens picks up is amazing. I could actually see the scratches on my coins. With other smaller lenses I could tell a quarter was a quarter but I could not see all the imperfections in the coins like I could with the EFS 18-135. I personally don't own a DSLR camera but I have had to learn a lot about them over the last two years working in the photo lab. Great shots by the way!

Thanks! I love taking photos. I'm using the Canon Rebel XTi that the kids bought me many years ago now. I've taken thousands of pictures with it. I would like to buy a 60d eventually, but I decided to get a new to me lens. Bought it on eBay, half price of retail.
