At least we can be united in our hatred of the Cowboys, right?? What do you think about the Eagles owner saying Andy Reid's job is on the line if Philly goes 8-8? Seems like a crap move to me, saying that publicly.
Wow I must have missed that. Was that before or after Andy Reid's son died? I imagine before. McNabb was ultimately a disappointment but he did give us some exciting games and alot of post season play.

I kind of like Jeffrey Lurie, he's never really done wrong by the team and seems willing to do what it takes to give us the tools needed for a winning football team. Maybe he felt Andy needed the motivation to focus on the team and his job even through the personal crisis he is going through. Lurie also is at the forefront of spearheading efforts to make the Eagles stadium 100% self sustaining through a combination of solar panels, wind turbines, and on-site generators. This sets a great example in my opinion and it's nice to see a sports team owner take an interest in something other than a Superbowl ring or his own bank account.
And quite frankly, even considering all Andy Reid has done for the Eagles, he still hasn't pulled the trigger on that Superbowl win. He's got the longest tenure of any head coach in football right now, and still hasn't led us all the way. Maybe Lurie is right and it's time for a change.
I'm not disagreeing with his motivations, it's saying it in public. Andy Reid has done great things for that team, they used to be awful. He deserves to have that conversation is private. Praise in public, punish in private.
We will have to have a fun bet for the next Giants/Eagles game.

These Giant-Eagle games are usually a bummer for me, so I'm cautiously optimistic.
My wife is from Pottstown just outside Philly and a big Eagles fan...until Vick. We are dog lovers and although he served his time, we will never support any team he is on. Period. Meanwhile our Cards are undefeated and handed them an ass whopping.

yeah it's kind of hard to support the guy, agreed. But I still bleed green and I'm hoping the team does well. I'd just as soon see them play their rookie QB and develop him for the future, this team needs some new blood I think
Chris, Eagles/Giants is up against the season premieres of Dexter and Homeland! what the heck am I gonna do? Up till 2am Sunday it appears...

He's the absolute worst but I don't listen, I turn the tv down every game and sync up the local radio broadcast...Merrill Reese and Mike Quick are calling our game and they are the greatest. It's so much better listening to guys call the game who love your team!

What a great game! I thought you guys had it for sure at the end. Three pass interference calls on that last drive, just so sloppy and undisciplined. Then those two field goal attempts! TWO! I thought I was going to have a heart attack. This city would have LYNCHED Andy Reid if you guys made that 2nd kick. Best game of the year though for our Birds, finally looked like a team that knows how to play football. Say what you will about Vick, he and McCoy engineered a couple of beautiful drives there when it mattered.
