Title: Interesting roadside discovery while on vacation
Post by: Pyrovile on June 30, 2012, 01:44:30 PM
We were leaving Baraboo, WI on our way to Cedar Rapids, Iowa and happened to see some unusual metal sculptures along the side of the road.  My daughter wanted to stop and take a look, and we found all of this (and more) behind the foliage.  I thought you guys here might get a kick out of it as well.

If that had been in the UK, an old rusty pick up would have pulled up (usually on the day the bins get emptied) and stolen all of the sculptures. Weighing them in for the scrap value....Sad but true!

Great sculptures though. Very 'other worldly'

He's in a nursing home due to a stroke, but his wife was there and talked to us for a bit and was telling us that some of the pieces had been recently vandalized and had some of the horns stolen.  Scrap brass value would be my guess.
